They always say that an elite player can take the team to the playoffs but only an elite coach can give them the crown.
Coach VDN was very lucky to have DRose in Chicago & CP3 in LA. I agree that he is good as gone.
On the other hand, GSW's Mark Jackson proved that he is an above-average coach by beating the veteran George Carl. It will be interesting how he will maneuver his pieces vs the genius in SAS' Pop. A well-rested & battle-tested veteran team against a bruised but never-say-die young achievers. This will be may well be a defining moment for Jackson if he is ready to jump into the elite crop of bench tacticians (i.e., Pop, Doc, Spo, Carlisle, etc.).
