Maybe someone can review the 9.5 connected to popular AVRs such as Yamaha, Denon, Marantz, HK, NAD etc and hear how the speakers respond to these receivers.

I have tried the 9.5 on an ONKYO TSRX600 and it really sounds better if not best. The sound reproduction of the high freq and mid band as well as the sub (65-100Hz) on a stereo mode is astonishing. On a 5.1 setup, when paired with US Audio sub, the performance of the combination could be at par using Mission speakers. But that is still subjective. It would be nice to hear comments from other users.

Positive_noise,

Mag post kanaman ng review sa RCA na trend yung review mo. I've heard you have a good set up using RCA speakers and a Crest Audio Amp.

Next big question here is the durability??

My first stereo speakers, purchased in 1978, were a big pair of 3-way, 5-speaker Dai-chis with 12-inch woofers.  After 22 years of moderate use, hindi man lang nagbago ang tunog.  I gave them away in 2000, and except for a few holes on the cloth grilles, they're still in tip-top shape to this day.

In December 2001, I bought a US Audio 5.1 set (a Dai-ichi brand), and I'm very happy with it.  Kinuha ko na yung pinakamalaking US Audio towers - mura lang naman kasi, e.  Pls view my HT pics on Reply # 739: http://www.pinoydvd.com/yabbse/index.php?board=11;action=display;threadid=1788;start=720

Is it true that Dai-ichi has a lifetime warranty on all of their speakers?  Ang balita ko, pag nasira, dalhin mo sa kanila, aayusin nila for free regardless of when or where it was purchased.  No need to bring a receipt.

If true, then it only shows that they have a lot of confidence in their products.

Barrister, Thanks for the info. I am now more confident buying the DAI-ICHI Dtx slim series 5.1 set up.  ;D

the slim line series of dtx are easy to drive so paired with a capable receiver should bring out good results..bang for buck, for ht they are very much ok. A shop in raon uses an old nad amp to demo dai-1chi speakers and they sound good, I just like the custom made speakers from nirvblakr better. opinion lang po :)

I think my post on Sakura thread should also be posted here  ;)

I was able to carefully listen to my Sakura-DTX 9.5T stereo set-up last weekend. The set-up sounded OK on my Band of Brothers and Ice Age DVDs. I played some of my dance and re-mixes CDs like New Wave Mega Mix One and Two and Re-Activate and they also sounded good. But when I played CDs from Pearl Jam, Nirvana, REM and U2 oh crap! It did not sound like they are my favorite bands. I then tried my Diana Krall DVD, DK’s voice is great but the sound of guitar, piano and cymbals are lacking.

DTX 9.5T paired with budget amp like Sakura is OK on movies. On music, it depends on what type of music you are playing. My Sakura-DTX 9.5T set up lacks detail and clarity. The sound of DTX 9.5T will definitely improve when paired with branded receiver.

To compensate for lack of detail and clarity on my set-up, I’ve connected my Cambridge satellite speakers on DTX 9.5T. Now, I have the good mid-bass sound DTX 9.5T and the detail and clarity of mid-high sound of Cambridge satellite speakers.

HAPPY  ;D ;D ;D
SATISFIED? ::)

Yah right, this is a good start to those who are tight of budget and performance wise are comparable to those branded entry level speakers... especially the towers DTX9.5T (3.8K).

Tama ka bro na halos magkaprice lang ito sa Diamond Center but i heard them both mas accurate ang sound reproduction ng Whafedale Diamond if you compare them closely... That is because of the material they are using., Kevlar! This is the same material used by some High-End Speakers...

just my 1 cent.

How much ang surround speakers nila?  Pwede ba gumamit ng sats as surround speakers in combination with the DTX9.5B and DTX 9.5C?   I'm considering this as an alternative to the Yamaha NSP 230 kasi.

Open ba stores sa Raon on Sundays?

i think yes..but considering its impendance which is 6 ohms..and if ur a/v reciever is rated 100w at 8 ohms..cguro pag high volume..medyo magddistort ung sound..the bookshelf is rated 100w max at 6ohms

m very thankful for this info. kasi 8 ohms minimum to 16 ohms maximum ang receiver ko.

pero john, if ever e-add ko na lang itong dtx 9.5 bookshelf sa present set up ko, meaning e-series ko mga speakers so that the total load of my receiver is 14 ohms per channel and still within the allowable load of my receiver ano kaya ang effect?

i need some more HIGHS on my setup kasi kaya im thinking of adding na lang itong dtx 9.5 sa present set of speakers ko-- thnks for any comments

Kung maliit lang naman yung room pwede mong gamitin to na front speaker mo yung DTX9.5B paired with sub.
