It's always worth buying there at Moses Aaron kasi they usually have the lowest prices around Raon tapos an extra 5% discount pa kung suki. Try mo bro.

i just got back from megamall and got the PL-100cc to give as a gift..

originally my plan was to get the euros 8 center (P1,650 on sale) kaso hindi ito maganda
ngo-ngo talaga siya walang high..sa audition ko, lahat ng high galing sa tower speakers wala talaga sa center..if you guys plan to get the euros 8 center better add konti and get the pl100cc (P2,360) instead kundi baka magsisi kayo.. as we all know, you really cant compare these speakers to higher end speakers pero if youre shopping sa price level ng wharfs (which are kinda on the ngo ngo side..lalo na wh-2's) pwede na itong p.l.'s...

Thanks for the info. Am really planning to get a Euros8 Center, buti na lang you posted your review. I will try to audition the PL Center speaker and hopefully can buy one on the 26th of this month.

dapat talaga i-audition mo, para malaman mo talaga kung maganda o hindi..maganda nga kung pa isolate mo yung center lang para walang "daya".. anyway sa xmas ko pa mapapakinggan ulit ito ng mabuti dahil naibalot ko na kaagad ehehehe!

buti nga you can now buy from the dai-ichi showroom dahil dati di pwede bumili doon dapat sa dealers..siguro naisip nila sayang din yung sales at malaking inconvenience din sa atin..ehehe actually nung nandoon ako siguro may mga 6-8 na pair ng euros 8 tower na for delivery..lakas ng benta nila since for a floorstander mura na iyon for P5+K...sayang di ko na na-audition ng seperate yung mga floorstanders nila..also i really dont like the sound quality of the bass that their subs pump out..yes its loud..pero di bilog, walang kaluluwa ( O0soul....you need that for audio listening...).. parang puro slam lang..siguro pang movies lang talaga, ewan ko lang maybe its the room or the raised audience platform..baka sa ibang situation ok siya..again for the price..who's gonna complain!..just dont audition higher end subs/speakers..thats when its too late and you find yourself in the SARS ward..ehehehe

before i went there, im already sure that i'll get euros8 but when i audition all 3 of them. here's what i bought:

front: -> euros8 5560
center -> pl100 2380
surround -> pl100 3200
total of 11,140 (cash)

DTX 4.12 -> 8,100 (card)

di gaano maganda ang center at surround ng euros8/6 as compared sa pl100 center and surround. grabe ang tunog ng pl100 center and surround ganda ng mids and highs. parang ngongo ang euros 8/6 center/surround. i went there around 12 noon today so walang tao so i tried all possible combination sa audition. una flrstander muna then surround then center. then napansin ko yung ngongo na tunog ng euros8/6 center to i asked them to power on the pl100 surround and center. ayun lumabas ang hinihintay ko at nasatisfy na ang tenga ko. ganda sobrang clear.

advice sa mga bibili ng euros8/6 -> try to audition pl100 also. baka di na kayo matuloy sa euros nyo..hehehe

susunod kong target -> gauge 12 na cable. guys medyo OT na san mura bumili ng gauge 12 na cable? meron bang deeco sa mkti area?

You can get some 12-gauge OFC silver-coated copper cables of good quality at the Glorietta. I think Spectra and Phasetron have them. Also try Tech Central at Makati Cinema Square.

magbigay ako ng full feedback sometime 3rd week na ng jan coz i still have to mount the surround sa wall at syempre ilalatag ko pa rin ang cable. di ko magagawa to ngayon kasi daming kailangan puntahan due to holiday reunions...otherwise magagalit esmi ko...

by the way, kulang pa yung binili ko...balak ko bumili pa ng isang set ng pl100 surround or 1 pl100 as surround back kasi ang AVR ko is 6.1. kung set ng pl100 surround bilin ko i parallel ko yung cabling kasi mas mahirap i mount sa wall ang center speaker kasi mabigat ito. so sometime feb or march ko na bilin ang 1 set ng pl 100 surround. so setup ko muna e 5.1 till mabili ko yon.

bakit ngayon lang kayo post ng review ng Euros 8 center/surround??? :-[kung kailan nakabili na ako ng Euros 8 (F/R/C) last Dec. 22!!!! :'(..di pa naman ako marunong mag-audition..sabagay kasama ko kase si esmi nung bumili ako at mahirap i-justify yung additonal na 1k+ para dun sa center & surround...pero mas satisfy naman si misis (at ako syempre) dun sa date naming ginagamit na speakers (na pinagkukuha lang namin dun sa mga sirang component).....ganun talaga una-una lang pero nasa huli ang pagsisisi...eka nga eh patience is a virtue..

Masusubukan ko ang lakas ng Euros8 this coming new year..kakalabog ang bahay!hehehehe!!

actually based sa posting dito sa forum na ito set na rin ang mind ko to buy the whole set of euros8. but based sa posting ni p.dviddy2 na ngongo ang center ng euros8, i decided to audition them in isolation. first HT muna. euros 8, then euros6, then PL100. then video concert naman, euros8, then euros6, then pl100. dito pa lang narinig ko na na parang maganda ang center ng pl100 as compared as euros8/6 center. then i requested na i want to audition yung dvd audio mismo but i want to hear the surround only. so they set it up in such a way that surround spkrs lang ang nakakabit sa avr. don ko narining na ngongo pati ang surround ng euros8/6. sobrang clear ang lumabas na sound sa surround spkr ng pl100 ganda ng mids at highs! para akong nakikinig ng KEF!

then pinakinggan ko ang same cd sa front ng euros8/6 and pl100. mas clear pa rin sa pandinig ko ang front ng pl100 as compared sa euros6/8. but di gaano nalalayo ang front ng euros8 sa pl100! so sabi ko oks na sa akin ang front ng euros8.

then tanong ko sa nag aasist sa akin kung pwede na masetup na ang front is euros8, center is pl100 surround pl100, sabi oks lang daw. ayun lumabas ang hinahanap kong tunog!

ang layo kung puro euros8 and 6 or pl100 setup. actually pinapatay ko pa ang euros8 sub to see kung kaya na ng euros8 front ibigay ang bass at exacto kayang kaya nga nya pero syempre iba pa rin ang may sub iba dating ng bass mo lalo na sa low freq signal...

for me ok na ok na ang combination ng front: euros8, surround: pl100 center:pl100. balanse ang bass from front and mids and highs from surround and center!

guys, subukan nyo pakinggan ang audio music sa pl100 surround spkr nila...actually pwede mo na syang gawing pang front. ang linis, ang kinis ng tunog ng boses. sobra as in sarap sa tenga! comparable sa KEF na narinig ko sa kapitbahay ko!

one thing i like about the pl100 center is that may bass yung dialog..i can say na its better the wharfs center kasi mas balanced ang sound hindi ma-mid (which gives us that ngo ngo effect)..so try ninyo and listen for yourselves! sa euros8/6 center naman i think mahina yung tweeter na nailagay nila or mali yung crossover or something kasi ngo-ngo talaga walang high kaya on sale kaagad..

sayang ganyan sana tunog ko ngayon..it pays talaga na pagtyagaan mong pakinggan lahat and compare..I had no time kase to audition ang pl100..alam mo na mga misis mainipin pag sa hobby natin..pero pag shoshoping ok lang....hehehe..i'll enjoy nalang what I have (especially the front towers), mas mainam na ito...bless pa rin kahit papaano eh me set-up na...at syempre kapamilya pa rin tayo ng dai-ichi...buy Filipino eka nga!!...regards

Gauge 14 is just fine. If you bi-wire, using two feeds of gauge 14 will do as good as a single gauge 12.

yup happy ako sa Euros8 tower ko and hopefully gets better kasi I guess nasa break-in period pa din ito. I am using a gauge 12 na cables but i guess kagaya ng sabi ni av_phile1 ok na din ang gauge 14.

this is what i did to my DTX

everyday i played 5 songs before i go to work.
first at 25% Volume then 50% then 75% then back to 50% and then back to 25%

then pag uwi same routine, in a month umaawit na speakers ko
