Life is a constant change they say...the reason why people keep on buying, upgrading, changing. To end the audio itchiness, i started collecting amps. I have tripath ta2020, solid state/transistor powered adcom gca 510 and soon if my creator will permit my customized el84 SET from Edrel. After that i will stop buying audio hardware. Everything has to end or else we'll lose some important things in life, our family and most of all our creator.

It's better to hook in audio than gambling and flesh...but we also need to limit our hobby to focus on something more important. So, before buying be wise in choosing the best system for you by knowing first what you really prefer in an audio system.

This out of the topic but it helps you people in finding an ideal amp for AN. Shrek7 -Sidny and I agreed that a good sounding amp means natural and transparent sounding are those that are minalist design (few stages only 1 or 2) and powered by very good quality tranny such as edrel's tranny design. You don't need an avr and line conditioner with his top of the line tranny. Many tube and solid state amp enthusiasts, rewind thru edrel their amp tranny for better sq and dynamics. Same value but high current and very stable powr supply. (He doesn't rewind toroidal. Only e core...as far as i know).

So before you replace your vintage or tube amp, and you want better sq and dynamics bring your tranny to edrel. Just PM him. Remember the secret of an excellent true to recording amp is on its few stages in audio signal and power supply. Capacitors are only in finishing touches...like an icing on cake.

Bro tranny lang ang upgrade mo kay edrel yung output tranny OPT lang. P rewind mo. Alam ko mganda na pyesa niyan. Sa tranny lang nagkakatalo ang mga amp. Most mass produce kahit high end medyo di kasing lupit ng high quality custom made tranny. KAsi kalimitan pag mass produce di high current at di ganun ka stable bigay ng power. OPT pinaka nagdadala ng mgandang SQ.

Always remember, kahit anung amp nasa tranny ang lupit ng SQ, secondary lang ang capacitors etc upgrades.

Good post. Almarro 205 mk2 is set/pentode amp el84 it can kick AN Super 8 CAst frame. If you want other Set, 2a3 will be the best option from el84 set. Look for japanese made 2a3 if you are looking for branded.

For me, i still go with el84 set even without pentode mode.  It's mids is so sweet and true. Bass is so deep. Preferred if you play jazz, blues, acoustic, opera, ballads.  I  am sure I can still go head banging with a 30 watt 98db AN Fullrange.

Good post. Almarro 205 mk2 is set/pentode amp el84 it can kick AN Super 8 CAst frame. If you want other Set, 2a3 will be the best option from el84 set. Look for japanese made 2a3 if you are looking for branded.

i've read this also yung almaro, aside dun sa nabangit mo sa akin....medyo mapapalaban tayo sa price...tyaga tyaga lang muna....darating din tayo dyan....
