Be careful with using copper foil for speaker wire.  It can destroy your amp if it did not match.

I think copper foil speaker wires are very good.  But i don't think it will benefit AN fullrange more. AN character are detailed, define.  So using this will weaken the bass a little but will increase details.  Maybe the copper foil is best with speakers with x over. If i am not mistaken, Edrel was already using copper foil speaker wire with xovered speaker.

Nevertheless, i still want to hear feedbacks from users of this speaker wires with fullrange speakers (no xover).

Basta kung di polyfiber, rock wool, dapat rubber foam type like uratex's.

Through my "Son" the bass got surprisingly robust, as David Dicks said it would, but the trebles were still too shrill, the violins too "wiry." I swapped out my Home Depot speaker cables (which work fine with other speakers needing some sparkle), and I put in a pair of Goertz, copper-ribbon, "MI 2 Veracity"speaker cables made by Alpha-Core, the least expensive but truly high grade cables I know of. That really did it. Finally I'd found the combination that worked excellently with the speakers, (which cost more than my lo-budge cables, but less than the fancy schmecker stuff I have around the old surfer shack), and I was confident the speakers sounded as good as they could. How'd they sound?

They sounded surprisingly good. They are very clean, and have this quality of seeming to place you in the room with the musicians that is sometimes uncanny. On records I know and like, say, Marta Gomez's Cantos De Agua Dulce (Chesky JD 281), there is something very realistic about the percussive instruments, drums, wood block, drumsticks, hand clapping that I hear on few speakers. Then, a few ticks later, there is a hear-through-the-veils moment, a segue to a very delicate guitar accompanying Gomez's haunting voice. To me it feels as if I am in the studio, or listening to the master-tapes of dreams, her dreams, and it has a captivating effect.

mon these guys are talking about inductors not cables. so specifically they mean coils used in standard crossovers. there are however flat speaker cables (ribbons) that one can try. expensive..

The links that was  posted recently, including my initial posts are inductors, basically used for crossovers. I am thinking it can be used also as speaker cables. But as per sir edrel, as what ive understand, hindi pwede gamitin.


I just want to know ung claim ng ibang gumagamit ng ribbon copper cables were true or not, kaya i am searching for a cheaper way para di masayang.

May nakita na ako bfore gumamit ng ribbon spkr cables sa home theater thread,but di ko matandaan kung sino. He's a good diyer sa speaker din. I think sir jen also before had one, xindak brand ng flat cables.

Ah, my main speaker cables are Nordost Flat copper cables.

They are very, very good.  You should try to look for these cables. May mid-range and high-end cables (price wise) ang Nordost brand.

Impedance of an amplifier, i think. If the amp cannot go down to 2 ohms and fhe design is not high current, it can destroy the amp. Even Naim is not compatible with this.
