Parang sa subs din... ang dali dali mag DIY ng subs para tapatan or higitan yung mahal na subs. Sa AN para ka na ding bumubuo na lang ng subs dahil wala ng crossover, may enclosure plan na. Mas mahirap pa actually yung subs compared dito sa AN. Enclosure? ask lang sa mga sash factory na gumagawa ng pinto and kitchen cabs.

Yes bro exactly yan nga ginagamit nila. It's like a flat magnet wire. But after review, only valve or tube amp can be use with theae type of speaker cables because it can affect
Impedance of an amplifier, i think. If the amp cannot go down to 2 ohms and fhe design is not high current, it can destroy the amp. Even Naim is not compatible with this.

I have both the Alpha Core Goertz and the Nordost Flat ribbon cables (Blue Heaven and the Super Flatline)... I have used these cables with all of my amplifiers (my 300B amp, my 845 amp, my Rogue Audio amp, my Sansui 5000 amp as well as my small SA-36 amp).

The cables worked equally well with all the amps.

1" fiber fill bro defcon in 4 or 5 folds ata basta sinalpak ko na lang sa loob ng box then glue gun, same ng gamit ng mga branded speakers, also ito din ginagamit sa mga car subwoofer boxes. Sa MS20i Pearls ko ganun lang din ang gamit at pagkakalagay.

Nakukulangan pa nga ako sa fiber fill eh, balak ko punuin.  Malambot pa sa uratex foam kasi to. I-gun tacker ko sana as David suggested, kaso ayaw tumalab sa MDF ng tacker ko. No exact measurement naman yung paggamit ng foams / fiber fill kaya it is free to experiment.

Yes dapat doble yung fronts, di nasunod. Pero madali na lang yun, sa mga next na ipapagawa ko mas okay na.

Bro, i agree with defcon, you have put so much fiber inside your speaker box. But I also agree with you that you are free to conduct experiment. It will affect the bass and your mids. The recommendation should be at least 2 inches thick from the inner wall of the box, but im sure you will discover that after playing around. Hehehehe!!! I see myself in you kasi, i have done the same thing you did.

Brader from the existing fiber fill na nilagay mo dyan ka mag umpisa mag tono ng enclosure mo. Dapat same weight of fiber ang nakalagay sa left and right enclosure mo when using full range speaker. I also see myself in you just like shrek. Just enjoy your journey into the world of one driver and in the end you will feel the nirvana effect

As monreq suggested na mas ma-bass yung 5.6mk2 which is larger than the 2.8mk2, I want to experiment if I will fill more fiber fill inside the 2.8mk2 enclosure. Pansinin nyo yung mga subwoofers specially if sealed madaming foam or fiber fill yan kaya kahit smaller enclosure than ported ones minsan mas okay pa performance aside for waf. Sa pagbawas ng fiber fill(pagtono), madali na lang sa pinadesign ko coz detachable naman yung fronts, also yung glue gun sa ilalim lang ng fiber fill naka glue kaya madali lang magbawas sa ibabaw.  Isa pa, pwede ako magpalit ng front covers, the one with 2 3" ports as David mentioned in his reply to my email para different tuning naman.  Same length of fiber fill yung nilagay ko for both speaker enclosures.

Speakers have different response depending in what particular room. Kaya, wala talagang tamang paglagay ng foam or fiber fill. Same din sa pagdesign ng subwoofer, kahit mas maliit na enclosure ang nagawa mo compared sa nadesign mo, room gain will play a role in the performance. Kumbaga compensated na ng room gain yung kinulang mo sa actual na enclosure.

Bro, enjoy the journey, nagtry na rin ako ng ganyang kadami, at mas madami pa dyan, at the end madami rin ang ibinawas ko, syempre, tama ka, depende sa room and depende sa taste kung paano mo sya tinimpla. congrats for the new enclosure!!!

Like nga yan sa foam, eh pano kung iba naman yung foam na ginamit? Like the Uratex foam that David told me not to use but still monreq likes them. Maybe because of the wires he used, interconnect, amp, source, line conditioner, AC plugs... etc.. ang daming factor. Imposible namang gayahin ko lahat ng gears nya, malay ko ba kung iba yung linya nya ng kuryente(just read it before na pati yun ina-upgrade, WTF!). Kaya in the end talaga, kanya kanyang trip na lang. 

In my case, I just love music. Like I mentioned before, I can't hear any difference in cables, between mp3 320kbps and flac/cd. Lalo sa cables eh pag binuksan mo naman yung speaker, ang ninipis ng wires sa loob. I got interested because of this thread started by monreq. Tipid na, maganda pa performance. Also DIY, kaya mas satisfying pag maganda kinalabasan, pinaghirapan mo eh, hindi yung bumili ka lang ng mahal at sikat na speaker proud na proud ka na(am not saying di pinaghirapan yung pinambili ng mahal na speaker).    Trip din nila bumili ng mahal. 

Conclusion:

I therefore conclude that Audio journey = kanya kanyang trip yan kung ano yung kaya ng bulsa mo na naaatim mong gastusin!

Kasi wala siya xover to tune the frequency.  Your speaker will be your model.  Pls make it  as per suggestions of those who already using AN.  Kasi yung ibang makikinig niyan mahusay mag assess.  It will no longer be your review but others.  Hindi tayo pare pareho ng tenga.  Kaya mas safe kung susundin mo yung subok na para di ka ma bad trip. 

Nevertheless, you can experiment on it.  But as i have said bka ma bad trip ka lang sa tunog.  Enjoy bro.

Just started to break them in, Eminem, Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park, 3rd Eye Blind and Matchbox 20 CDs.... Love the bass parang may subwoofer! Sabay sa huli... Susan Wong and Audiophile Voices 4!

Kinulang sa black spray paint (luma na kasi, holen na lang ang laman  ) for the visible white fiber fill dun sa port hole. Bili na lang bukas.

I'll try to get it today.  Edrel's copper foil wire is a higher gauge.  But still it's a copper foil.
