if tuned correctly you will have the same effect. Advantage of passive is you can tune the radiators movement to change box characteristic. Usually you add or remove weights on the radiator. Easier said than done.

If you are going to tune it the same with the original box then there is no point in doing it. In short, do it only if you are not happy with the current box sound.

I won't recommend it. It takes some thorough engineering to make such design. Just paint the inside black pare Hindi kita

It will not add bass per se. A passive radiator is just a design option. A port and a passive radiator can both br tuned for more bass.

The entire box must be designed to utilize a passive radiator to be viable. You just don't slap it on and expect it to be better.

Try mo sir lagyan ng grill cloth yun butas kung medyo napapangitan ka. Baka sir mag iba sound signature nyan kasi..

salamat sa advice mga kapatid for now nilagyan ko muna ng dark colored carpet yung bandang ibaba ng box para hindi kita yung puting fiber foam pagiisipan ko nalang kung paano mapaganda ito.

AN is perfect if made plain and simple. Wala xover, etc.  Di niya kailangan ng passive radiator. Mag invest n lang sa mgandang amp, spkr cable, and mgandang source.

Pakinggan mo maiigi. Minsan stressed ang speaker pagover damped. Nagiiba speed. Strained tumunog. I personally stick with design recommendations. Areas of improvement are cables amd terminations. They make big changes. Iba nga straight cable from speaker to amp. No terminals. Hardwired sa speakers.

Now observe the bass if ok pa din ang tonal balance. Sometimes when you retune the box, the bass hump (curve) moves so humihina elsewhere. Since your lows improved, I hope hind bumaba ang midbass. Since you are happy naman, I suspect walang problema.

i believe it will be okay, carpet has been used by many audio gurus here in pdvd to fine tune their speaker box. but i recommend  that you burn in your AN speaker for at least 100-150 hrs before making the final correction. 100% sure ako na di mo pa na burn in ng matagal tagal yan, ang bass ng audio nirvana in the right enclosure is comparable to some hi end subwoofer.

ah okay! hehehe!!! ganyan din ako dati, pero kapag tumagal pa yan sayo, you will understand what i mean, hehehe!!! im sure maya't maya eh napapangiti ka habang nakikinig ng set up mo, madami na kasing beses na napagkakamalan ako ng asawa ko na baliw dahil ngiti lang ako ng ngiti mag isa. hehehe!!!

Minsan kc, kapag "floating" ang flooring, the speakers tend to transfer energy sa floor. Madalas, at mid or reference level listening, akala natin, boomy ang isang speaker/system pero resonance ng floor.

It's nice to know. Concrete din kasi ang flooring ko. Maganda ang solid flooring for audio. Pero for HT, masarap ang floating kasi once the sub performs, gumagapang ang resonance papunta sa listener creating a "massage" effect.

Have you tried putting egg tray foam or diffusers directly behind your FR driver sa loob ng enclosure? Maganda din ang effect nun lalo na sa full range. Mas-clean sounding and better detail.
