According to David Dicks, the alnico and the Neo are Audio Nirvana's top models. Neo is the most sensitive driver they got, thus it gives more detail and is best suited for diy'ers who have a treated room. Neo's hi frequency is very detailed, its impossible to miss any detail with a good system, while alnico models are a tiny bit less detailed, but it gives a fuller mids and low freqs that would rival a very expensive sub. The only downside I see with the alnico models is the "amp pairing" due to its lesser sensitivity it couldnt be powered easily with a 2watt amp. You would at least need a 12 watt amp to give you maximum satisfaction, well at least for my case (i like listening in loud volumes) but both neo and alnico are more detailed compared to their ferrite models. If your audio room is not well treated, I would advise to use alnico, if your room is heavily treated, use Neo. Both of them are very very good, But bottomline, its a matter of preference.
