an update on my AN12AlNiCo.
installed lining/stuffing last night. tonal balance, very smooth from top to bottom, i can't hear the ragged lines on driver's
frequency vs SPL graph that most of diy forum members complained about.
my new cabinet is a combination of CommonSense Audio's 5.6 + fostex DBR. settled on this design as recommended by bro Monreq & from gathering info on DiY forums. low bass output is another frequent complained that i read but not on this build.
aside from the usual descriptions of LF - deep, tight, loud. a
ccurate, articulate, definition of each note being played is equally important.
wish i can share my listening experience thru words, but every time i sit to listen, i forget everything.
to compensate for my weakness in written language, i'm sharing my design, hope this will encourage other DiYers who are hesitant to try FR drivers due to its misconception weak bass response
