cheapest media player
« on: Sep 02, 2012 at 07:04 PM »
Any suggestions on what are the cheapest media players currently available that can simply play .mkv files and output audio to the TV (stereo).  Like say below P2k?

PS. I hope I'm not breaking any rules :)

Thanks for the suggestions.  So it seems P2k would be the cheapest?  Hope there are more options.

Thats what I thought as well. But if it plays MKV (this is not a codec right?) and hopefully some divx files, then for Php 370, you cant complain, hahhaa.

Does this TELEFUNKEN Digital Set Top Box capture our local ISDB-T broadcast? I suppose it doesn't capture our aerial analog broadcast. How about our local cable broadcast?

Does the TV recording to USB device function works?

If not, then only the media player thru USB port will be the only purpose for this unit. If it doesn't really play them well, then better save up for a php2k Elvira instead.

I did hear of a Audio to Video not in sync problem for this unit. Did any owners experience this on this unit?

Is this sold as a new or used (2nd hand) unit?

Available yang mga Telefunken and Thomson Media box/player for about 390 each sa HMR.

It can play MKV pero may audio limitation such as aac and DTS, some model can only output upto 1080i (not an issue if your display is 720p)

Got both the thomson and telefunken media players for 370 and 390 pesos each. Galing!! Pwedeng pwede na for very simple and practical set ups. Now i can play my videos in the clinic na minimal gastos. Plays mp4 well. Sa mkv naman video is good kaya lang walang sound and subtitle. But very worth it for the price. Thanks to those who recommended.

I have a couple of those TELEFUNKEN and THOMSON media players but i cant match the price of HMR. I can only match the price of the Sulit seller. I can give the telefunken at P895.00.

We sometimes get the same items (same supplier) as HMR, so what you see there we sell also. We usually sell cheaper items than them but this item is the exception.
