Topic: my 'hampas lupa set up

Just started setting up bout a month ago. Thanks to a friend who introduced me to Pdvd.

audio muna.  saka na HT.  I prefer to have a separate set-up for my HT.

still have lots to learn and explore. i know this will be a long journey of trial and errors for my ears haha.  buti nalang may pdvd.

Sa tingin ko mas maganda ang separate na Child Board para sa audio set-up para lahat ng threads ay doon lang nakatutok. Iyung HT Picture Gallery mixed iyung threads, mayroon pang HT at mayroon pang audio. Kung papansinin natin ng maigi hindi akma ang audio set-up sa HT Picture Gallery.

Ndi ba naiinitan yung cdp sa ibabaw ng Hybrid mo sir? From what I know, that VK tends to run "hot".

Also, you might want to try moving the speakers around, corner loaded and behind a wall will more often than not, bring out boomy bass and unwanted reflections, thus - degrading the sq.

BTW - ndi nga hampas lupa, those are nice gears you have sir.

wala nga din ako nakita galery for 'AUDIO setup only'.  A separate board would be nice.

@ sir Courage --  comparing to most of the setup posted here in HT Gallery. hampas lupa lang po ito. 

@ meat_eater - brother so far base sa observation ko, ndi naman sya ganun naiinitan.  Lagi pa ako may tutok na electric fan.  I only use them during weekends, 2-3hours running time the most bec the wife gets annoyed easily  , and volume never passed 10 o'clock ( not sure kung makakasama sa amp to, whachuthink? ).
  Part of my project is to get a decent audio or a/v rack with separate compartments para ndi sila patong patong.
With regards to the position of the speakers, i am still experimenting on that. Maliit lang kasi ung room ko eh.  I think oversize nga tong mga speakers na to and amp para sa room. Pero ok lang, at least I have enough headroom if I want to bring down the hawzzzzz.

@sientobente --  sir vk2100 ung integrated amp, ung cdp Denon DCD500ae - nabili ko kay dj_raff.

i cannot give that much review in terms of sq coz i dont have that much exposure yet.
they sound good to my ears.

so far ang naexperiment ko palang eh, comparison ng  DVD player ( LG )  with an external Fiio D3 DAC  vs this DENON dcd500ae.     The denon plus amp setup is the winner for my ears. Sarap, parang may nag shoshow sa harap ko eh.

I will try another DAC, this time a usb dac for my laptop and will compare.

Nice, simple set-up.

Just a comment, try to pull out as much as you can the speakers away on the wall. This will give you better, non boomy bass. It will also improve your imaging ( the placing of the singer and instruments in your listening space).

Since you play a musical instrument, you could use it as a guide on how your system should sound, say playing a guitar tune on your system.

thank you sir.  nakow idol ko yang setup ni sir Louie. di ko naman kaya ganyan, hehe. pag nanalo ako sa lotto siguro. 

sa ngayon, sa mga kawayang kaharap ko dito sa Pdvd, bubwit lang po itong setup ko.

oo master 'sniffer ' jon, binago this weekend, pinagtabi ko, baka madali buhay nung cdp mapalitan agad. used pa naman na.   also did some experiments in positioning the speakers.    voila! indeed may improvement!
pero ganun pa din, i'm still itching to buy more... nagpipigil lang  , iwas classified ads muna, basa basa muna ko.

salamat sa tip sir Edwin. yup i did some position adjustments sa speakers and indeed there is an improvement.  and yes and sarap sabayan sa pag guitar, lalo na pag mga clean tone blues or jazz ang togs.

Congrats sir! I wont call it "hampas-lupa"  each setup is unique, what matter is that we are happy and enjoying it. Just enjoy and relax
