Looking forward to upgrade my NMT but do any NMTs have this option? Posted this question also on NMT as music source but I think I need to put this topic here. Medyo nangangati na ako to upgrade.  O0

I'm not sure kung may NMT na capable ng studio master resolution. Madalas, ang alam ko, mga music streamers na sila. Cambridge meron. Check out Olive din though i'm not familiar sa specs niya.

Or if you have a capable PC or laptop, you can use it to play studio master files via USB DAC. Musiland  ;D is an option for the USB DAC.  ;) Plus, you can also use your PC as a source/player for movies just like an NMT.

San mo sir coconnect yung usb? Music streamers?

Yes, most music streamers you can connect a USB to it and connect the streamers digitally(using avr DAC) or analog(Using streamers DAC) to your AVR.

Maganda din yung suggestion ni Master Nelson about using your laptop+dac then analog to your avr. Pwede rin Laptop + USB SPDIF converter connected digitally to your AVR if you want to use your AVR's DAC..

I have a CA NP30 before which i sold to Louie.. You can connect 2 usb external drives to it, though max it can play is 24/96...

Kung may laptop ka sir madali lang, di naman sya masyado mahirap i setup. I sold my NP30 because i now use my laptop..

Ok bro. What streamer kaya cheap and locally available? So I will connect my external (usb) hard drive to it and use toslink to output to AVR, just like with an NMT.

If your going to use external DAC, any NMT will do. Ang catch lang with NMT (i was also using NMT dati), you have to turn on your monitor while listening para makita mo yun mga titles ng music played. Dati, i used a 7" CDRKing monitor. kaso too small for my eyes.

+1^. It may not be as efficient because you have to turn on your monitor/tv to use your nmt whereas your netbook /laptop, even the low end variety can be your music server.

Currently I have  this unit for my digital files. Made in China but the build quality is good. My concern before with NMT's is you have to use a monitor. With this my built in monitor na which is touchscreen plus my remote contrl din. The font is big enough kaya kahit mga  3 meters away ay readable pa ang display. Can play up to 24/192. My digital files ay naka external hard drive tapos connected dito sa unit, then the unit is connected to an external DAC.  Other  models ay may built in  DAC na which is Wolfson 8741.  A guy (Gutchy) is selling a used one sa marketplace for Php 21k I think.  I'm satisfied with it naman.
