Newbie Setup on 5.1 HTIB
« on: Dec 09, 2012 at 04:01 PM »
I know that this question has been asked before but i am still a newbie and i am not ready to go full blast in setting up my HT that is why is i would like to start with the least possible cost.

i recently bought a 43 inch plasma samsung  PS- e450 with connectshare video capabilities. Its a USB port at the back of the TV which plays HD videos.  I wanna hook the audio to 5.1 theater set up but the only audio output of the tv is a optical cable.

i would like to know sana what is the cheapest powered 5.1 speaker system that has optical, coaxial, and if possible, HDMI inputs and can decode all digital audio formats. coz i wanna hook up the optical output of the tv directly to the speakers.

i heard about the Logitech Z5500 and the Z906 but i would like to know if there are cheaper alternatives. Like i said, i wanted to be as cheap as possible coz i prefer to go the HTIB route muna.

Thank you.
