NMT's Vs Android tablets as players

contemplating on getting NMT but i was wondering if these new dual/quadcore cheap china tablets will do the job "better" than nmt's

your thoughts please

Tablets over NMT as media player?  No way (yet).

Pero as portable media player (using the small tablet screen and a headphone), a tablet should be usable.

For your HT, I dont think any tablet is capable of simulating a Bluray player.

Can any Android tablet play a Full Bluray or a high-bit MKV with HD audiostream and output via HDMI?

IMHO you get player if you want a large display, have your own ht, etc. You get a tablet if you want to watch it on the go :)
