Thanks Timi, you don't need high end gears to be happy. Matching lang talaga. Like the Sonus Fabers, match made in heaven with KT88' power amps. Use a more malambing tube and sobrang mellow na, parang marshmallow. :-)
@Dodie, didiretso na lang ako kay Elmer para di na kita maistorbo. Tutal, madalas ako sa eastwood kase malapit lang samen:-) that is kung OK lang kay Elms:-)

Wala problema yun doc basta simpleng starbucks na kape pero ung legit na starbucks di kagaya nung starbucks nina jason, pau and gerard para maexercise ni derick ang leeg niya kasi nag kaka stif neck sa office.

Guys, to those of you who owns a Rega P3-24 amd does not have a Lenco yet, don't fret, The Rega is highly tweakable and is fun to upgrade and imho can give the "mightly Lenco" some competition. . . Wanna share the tweaks I've done with my Rega

First, use Bitumen(Dynamat or Flashband) to dampen your plinth. . . I placed the bitumen accdg to the recommendation in Vinyl Engine. . .




Then I ordered an aluminum subplatter from Michael Lim of Malaysia

Then ordered a double pulley, pulley puller and dual silicone belt (still from Michael Lim)


Decided to remove the old pulley and replace it with the double pulley. . .

Removed the motor cover and gently disassembled the motor from the plinth(which is connected only by a double-sided tape) using screw driver

Positioned the pulley puller and removed the old pulley



Installed the new pulley and removed the old double adhesive and replaced it with a 3m, reattach it back to the plinth and placed Flashband on the motor cavity to further dampen it. . .


Attached the dual silicon belts to the dual pulley. . .



"The kamagong pucks I bought from Raon, 100php for the whole "pool set" Attached it to the periphery of the glass platter to increase the "flywheel effect"

I wish you could hear my upgraded Rega p3-24 soon. . .Goodnight guys

Parinig doc. Baka ma inspire ako to do the upgrades to my P3-24. Kaya lang parang complicated yung ginawa mo. Although right now happy ako with the Rega using Rene's phono preamp. Mas bagay gawa ni Rene sa Rega kesa sa Lenco. Kaya yung Lenco pinalayas. Nilagay ko muna sa office set up. How much pala inabot ng upgrades?

Balita ko may ginawa daw na pc speaker ni doc ung pangarap natin na Sonus Faber Signums.  Yan pc speaker na yan ang like marinig with same setup compare sa speaker ni louie na harbeth.

@Dodie, the Rega RB300 and it's later iterations, ie., 301 up is an iconic tonearm. Good sounding na siya and it's weakness is in the bearing. Just replace the tonearm wires with Cardas Litz and you can dampen the tonearm by injecting silicone foam sa barrel:-)

Nice idea to tweak the rega Doc E. I wonder kung pepwede din some of the tweaks sa Project debut 3? Kasali din ba sa tweak ung wooden isolation cones o for purely aesthetic purpose lang ?
