i got a 60UT50 from Panasonic. i wanted the ST50 sana pero wala akong makita wnung bibili ako, so i settled for it. i compared this ut50 to the Sony and Sharp na halos same price range, and i like the pany most. parang nasa 52k lang dito sa Melb yung panny, sana ganito din ang price dyan saten.

pero honestly, that st50 and the new st60 is haunting me, kung may change ako na isalya tong ut50 ko i would.

the Panasonic 60ST50 is available at AVX, Harrison Plaza for 155k. I think other sellers here in pinoydvd sell the 60ST50 for more or less the same price. :)

A bucket of KFC cost P600 in PHL while P1040 in Canada.
A rotisserie chicken is P219 while P500 in Canada.
A 500ml bottled water is P20 vs. 90 in Canada.
Fastfood meal is P120 in PHL vs. P500+ in CA.

Malayong mas mura pa rin sa Pinas mga basic commodities but when they go SALE here... it's crazy!

I could buy 65inch for less than 100k. :)

+1

saw an 80" sharp aquos 3D Led TV sold at tesco for only $2999 a couple of weeks ago. sobrang mura talaga.

WHY NOT try this route, for me personally its quite daunting, its a new territory but doable and seemed the less evil from going into penury. Order your Panasonic ST60 60" or 65" plasma from Amazon or B & H Photo. The pricing for the two big-screen model is around $1,500 & $2,400 respectively. Both vendors stated free shipping to a U.S. location. List down Forexworld's Los Angeles California warehouse address as the destination. Forex is charging a flat fee of $500 for the 65" model - or P20,000. At an exchange rate of P42.00 the guesstimate final cost for the 65ST60 model (the jumbo-iest size) I pegged at P121,000.00  You pay P121K for a model thats cited as a superlative value by A/V evaluating bodies. If one wants Panasonic's topdog in the plasma totem pole, the VT60 65" is at P126,000. If shipped by Forex, one gets the VT60 for P146,000. For me, I'm mulling agitatedly towards the ST60 because this seemed to be an ideal middle-of-the-road unit that could by all means satiate a videophile-grade aspiration without going into desperate penury. On the event plasma TV will be laid to obsolescence, I'd go after the ST60 65". Tell us pal if you're going to proceed with your 60" plasma aspirations....
