Topic: Need your help masters.

Hi!

I'm planning in upgrading my home theater setup, and with it i also want to jump in the 3D wagon. What do you think is going to be the best PJ that i could get for P160K (if there's something cheaper that'll be better since the sound setup is going to be costly too).

The room where this will be installed is still under construction, but the max distance of the PJ from the screen would be 12-15ft (i think), there will be no windows in the room so there's going to be very minimal ambient light in it.

Honestly i don't know squat about PJs, but after reading for quite a while i'm eyeing the Panasonic AE8000. is it worth it? from what i've read this PJ has been released late last year, is it safe to buy this now? or will there be a newer model soon (like in a few months from now).

you won't go wrong with either the Panasonic AE8000 or the Epson 5020.

... check 1st pros/cons of each pj (pany/epson) sa net then go to SnS @ shagrila pa-demo ka ng Pany AE8000... then go to AVDI pa-demo ka ng Epson tw8100/5020, magkapitbahay lang sila only a few steps away!!... don't 4get to demo bluray 3D (better bring your own bd3D) then decide!!!... magsama ka ng friends/wife(s) /kids to help you decide... thats what i did they all voted for Epson!!...

I tried the Epson TW8100 and the Panasonic AE7000 (unfortunately the demo unit isn't the 8000), i really liked what i saw with the Epson TW8100, but i'm not really sure if it's just the file or the ambient light in the rooms. I'm really torn between these two, problem with epson according to what i've read is that it's not that great with games.

i don't see any lag/delay when my son played Call of Duty: Black Ops II (xbox 360) on our pj.. bihira lang naman mag play sa pj... too expensive piece of equipment to use as his regular game display!.. dun sya sa plasma mag laro! hehehe

I've also read reviews on the Sony HW50ES. Is this in the same price range locally?

Also check the BenQ W1070 Sir, it has raving fans at AVS forum, I think more than 170 pages was written about it.
