It's the digital age, where social media rules ...... If Jordan were playing in today's NBA, I'm very sure he'd have his fair share of haters as well.
As for Lebron, IMO his only real fault was the way he handled "The Decision", with all the hype and the resulting TV coverage.
Lost in all the hoopla ......
1.) The fact that all the proceeds of "The Decision" was to benefit a local charity
2.) It was Lebron's legal right as a free-agent, to go to the team he wants to play for
3.) Lebron took less money to go to the team he wants to play for
The 3rd is a biggie for me ...... in this day and age of pro sports, everyone rants about athletes making undeserved millions. Lebron is one of a few athletes who actually deserve a salary beyond what the CBA defines.
Lebron took less money, exercised his right to play for a team he wants, does justice to the sport by playing the right way (makes himself and everyone around him better), wins championships, wins MVP awards, etc ...... yet he still is getting panned.
