Topic: Please recommend a good 42/43" plasma tv..

Hi pdvd'ers,

Need help in deciding which brand/model to get. Narrowed the choices down to Samsung ps43f4900, LG 42pn4500, and Panasonic (if there is a 42 out there in the local market, really want a Panasonic but it seems that it's hard to get one these days or I might have been looking at the wrong places). Was also looking for a 1080 42 plasma, so far I haven't found any yet in the local market. Any feedbacks/comments/suggestions especially from owners of the said units or plasma experts will be greatly appreciated. TIA.

How far would you be sitting away from the screen?

Distance imho is the first thing to consider when selecting a tv (screen size), then consider the room's lighting, then budget

If you're gonna sit around 8 or 9 feet away, you might get away with a 720p screen... Samsung and panasonic make good plasma screens.
