since construction palang sir, i'd also like to contribute some ideas ... one thing that i've noticed in most of the HT setups in pdvd that includes PJ's, the screens are placed quite high primarily due to the other equipment put in front, and the seats not elevated ... there's lesser eye strain and it's relaxing to watch a movie or tv, or even use computers with the screen placed lower - hence when i watch a movie i always prefer to seat at the back where it is more elevated ... if there's a way to elevate the seat area and lower the screen, it would be ideal for viewing ... just my opinion anyway

congrats in advance on your setup :)

bat sir ang kapal ng cement putting nung tiles? sayang semento ska adhesive eh. :D :D :D :D
sir one thing ive learned from having this hobby is that when you contruct a dedicated ht/audio room, ay maglagay ng maraming abang na pvc for wirings, para upgade proof ang connections. :D :D

@raptor
Yes I agree, My option is either lower the screen instead of elevating the seats. Actually it will be a double setup. Plasma with manual screen for the projector. The reason for the TV is that if the viewing will be from the outside, I will just turn the tv facing outside for outside party watching. But if full home cinema viewing, then the Projector/screen duo. If need to elevate the seat then that will be the next project.
@audiojunkie/practikal
Try ko ma scan layout since having problem with my scanner. But to give an eyeview. My HT area is actually not symmetric in terms of walls. The front wall is wider with the Right wall (if facing the front wall) becoming smaller due to the Property line. It is around 16 feet long (front to back). With window (to be covered) in front and a small windows (to be covered) also at the back plus the aircon. TV and Projector will be used with the PJ attached to the ceiling. BTW my ceiling is again asymmetric meaning the roof is slanted wherein the lower portion is on the left and the higher portion is on the right(facing the front wall) This is due to the drainage system. Will be using a 7.1 system.

@audiojunkie/dodie
Reason for the makapal cement is due to the "klive" of the roofdeck. This is at the back portion and the slope is form the back going to the front. Thus the thicker cement. I also agree with the future proofing. Hopefully it will be enough.

Will keep this updated. Thanks for all your inputs and suggestions and comments. Appreciate it very much.

Hi Macmon, welcome to the world of HT design & build from scratch.
Raptors point is a very good one.
Your room is 16' long, how wide front & back ? You'll also find that having nonparallel walls & a sloping ceiling will help your acoustics.
Good luck with your build.

Yes sir. If you focus on the lower and upper section of each of the shelves, you will see the drawer slides at the sides. (black one). Nahirapan yung karpentero since he had to make sure the alignment for both is good. Hindi kakayanin ng isang pair lang so we had to have 2 pairs for each shelf. Initially it was suppose to be just 1 whole shelf but it was to heavy and problematic in sliding, so we separated it and made it into 2 shelves. But of course I dont try to make it stay open for very long periods of time since it is quite heavy and the drawer slide mechanism might not be able to support it on long periods.

Hindi solid wood sir. Not sure if MDF but tempered glass. Not labeled yung brand and not sure sa pioneer. Since sa Cubao ito noon available
