HTiB average power consumption
« on: Oct 08, 2013 at 10:19 AM »
I currently have an LG HTiB with the following specs.

Amplifier
Stereo mode 70 W + 70 W (4Ω at 1 kHz, THD 10 %)
Surround mode
Front: 70 W + 70 W (THD 10 %)
Center*: 70 W
Surround*: 70 W + 70 W (4Ω at 1 kHz, THD 10 %)
Subwoofer*: 150 W (3Ω at 30 Hz, THD 10 %)

Code: [Select]
                       Front/Rear                    Center                     Passive
                       Speaker                       speaker                   Subwoofer
Type                 2 Way 3 Speaker           2 Way 3 Speaker              1Way1Speaker
Impedance                    4 Ω                       4 Ω                       3 Ω
Rated Input Power           70 W                      70 W                      150 W
Max. Input Power           140 W                     140 W                      300 W

Anyway, I'm interested in knowing the average power consumption when using it in playing surround movie audio as well as listening to music in stereo mode. Let's assume that the audio is in the low average (the kind of volume level wherein hindi maiistorbo ang katabi mong kapitbahay in an apartment environment).

I wish a had a Kill-a-Watt device so I can test myself but for those na meron, kindly share your results.
