The gears have landed, my container arrived at 8:30 last night, they couldn't get it into the yard so had to be unloaded in the road. Finally got everything checked & stored at 2 AM, beat the rain by 15 minutes. Had to leave the carpet outside so it got a little wet but all the important stuff is OK

. Managed to take a couple of photos so I'll post tomorrow. I've been sorting all day looking for the kit I need need for the HT room so pooped & off to bed soon.

Thanks Photonyo, you don't realise how much gear you have until you have to pack & unpack it, there was quite a big pile. Now my gears are here just doing some final dimensional checks before starting the HT room build.

Thanks Gino, I was a bit worried about my subwoofer, it should have been crated but when we opened the only crate in the container it had both screens & my large speakers but no sub. Found it under a pile of boxes undamaged so a big sigh of relief.

Couldn't take any photo's of the gears in 1 pile as we were rushing to beat the rain You'll have to wait until I unpack everything when the HT room is complete, until then a couple of tasters.

You can just see the 50" screen between the Panny & the Performance 6's, the subwoofer is hiding under the HT seat on the left hand side.

Opened the box to make sure the beast was OK & the wife had to give it a cuddle.

Thanks stilljey, as DTNS says 85" diagonal but physical size 2015 mm wide, 1195 mm high & 99 mm deep & weighs in at almost 120 KG.

Sovrain, I do not like soap operas either & the TV has no speakers so the sound will be routed though the speakers in the stereo system. That means I will be in the same position as you, wifey watching TV no audio enjoyment but I am fortunate that I will have an HT room to disappear to

yun ang diprensya, you got an HT room, while my option is to upgrade my tv, para yung luma ang ilagay ko sa kwarto, to change the crt tv

Yes Gino, I can't wait to get started in the HT room. I've slept better since my gears arrived so I think I must have been worrying a little after being so long without them.

Control room, This will be the home for the 2 AVR's. The 2 small power boards will each be fed from an AVR, 1 for the HT room & the other for the Stereo system.

Most of the materials have arrived for the HT room. The carpet is hiding under the pink floor covering.

How does a soap opera look like with the Soap Opera Effect on in your TV?

Yes Gino, after months of not doing very much looking forward to starting the build maybe towards the end of the week. The rear wall of the HT room will be installed in the next few days, not sure which day, then we can start. We will manufacture a mount for the screen on site & install that before starting on the stud wall.

It feels a bit like it at the moment ndotcom. All will be OK when we clear the room for the start of the build.
