i bet you can't wait for this ;D

I've been without my sounds & HT for 15 months now, almost forgotten what my equipment looks like  :-\
Yes can't wait & should hopefully only be for another 5 or 6 weeks so waiting patiently  :) Fingers crossed that it all fires up without any problems.

When I went into RC helicopters, I left my audio system untouched for 3 years. When I finally listened, wow, unimaginable thrill. It was more palpable than ever.

My only sounds have been via a Karaoke amp since Xmas so I'm expecting to be amazed when my system is up & running. Never been into sub woofers for audio but added one a couple of weeks ago to see what I may have been missing - pleasantly surprised   ;D ;D ;D

May be be quiet for a while, a fire in the local town has taken out a cable so no internet. Using a Tattoo stick with a netbook but so slow cannot down load anything. Will update as soon as normal service is resumed.

Usually, no internet connection would mean more bonding time for my family.  ;D

Internet back on this morning so here are the photos from Monday, seat riser framing under way.

Looking towards rear + right wall

Looking at doorway from right wall. Through the doorway you can see 2 of the 10 boxes of acoustic panels & corner bass traps.

How do you plan to suppress the seat riser if it resonates?

Hi bro Jen, I may have to put a hold on things if the wife's UK visa comes through, we'll be off to the UK for 3 weeks. I'm actually getting a little excited & hoping my efforts will show an upgrade to what I have been used to in the UK.

Hi Nelson, hopefully the riser won't resonate as I'll be filling it with sand. also the stage. Should make them acoustically dead.

Start of the stage build.

Right hand side

From left wall, the front curved section being formed. You'll have to excuse the corner of the HT seats, space is a bit tight.

A few photos of my previous UK set up.

Nov. 07

Nov. 09 - Upgraded AVR & TV to 1080P,  Blu Ray added

Q5 rears - lazy lions on top to stop my 2 cats jumping up on the speakers.

Left surround + left rear

Right surround + right rear

Jan 10 - upgraded center speaker & amp.

During 2011 upgraded system to 11.1, sub to BK Monolith & added MS Performance 6's. All the additions prior to my relocation in Cebu are on page 1.

Right hand step light conduits in.

Left hand step light conduits in.

Encountered a problem today, the 240V AC led rope light I was going to use has a minimum length of 1 metre but the steps are 3 feet wide. Had to change to 12DC rope lights with minimum length of .5 metre but now have to make a compartment in the front of the riser to house the power supply. My job tomorrow.

Good trick with the stuffed toys. However, the form doesn't matter. Cats will not climb uprights with 45 degrees or more overhang. I have 4 cats.
