I had the pleasure of listening to these speakers for almost 3 hours in the new owner's HT room which was treated with bass traps and sound absorbers, floor is carpeted. The room doesn't have "flutter" echo when I did the clap test. The requirement for the build is to produce coherent mids esp in voice and smooth-non-ear-piercing highs.
The speakers will be crossed to 2 Rel T5 subs to handle the lows, hence the decision to opt for bookshelves. The position of the 2 subs in the room; 1 at the front left corner behind the speakers and the second one at the back right corner of the room, behind the listening chair.
I must say I was surprised at how effortlessly the mini-onkens integrated with the 2 subs. It is well-balanced and there's no localization of the bass sound. It just fills the room. It also compliments the extension in the highs the MA 10.3M can produce. Imaging is spot on, vocals is always dead center in the music materials we tried.
