If you are fan of the Livng dead trilogy, then wait for the ultimate edition/limited edition(?) that's coming out in September.

June 11, 2004 - Is Anchor Bay becoming the new New Line Home Entertainment? Their TV series sets rock, and now it looks like they have a fantastic movie box set in the works.

Fangoria, the bible of horror flicks, is reporting on its Web site that the forthcoming special edition of the original Dawn of the Dead from Anchor Bay will be a four-disc set. Here's what Fangoria is claiming are the contents. No verification from AB as yet, nor is there a price.

Universal have sent us the full details of their October 5th DVD release of Zack Snyder's Dawn Of The Dead remake. The movie will be available in 4 different packages - rated widescreen, unrated widescreen, rated 'fullscreen' and unrated 'fullscreen'. All will boast English, French and Spanish DD5.1 audio. The unrated cuts run for 9mins extra.

Extra features on the rated edition will include an audio commentary with the director, and producer Eric Newman; The Lost Tape: Andy's Terrifying Last Days Revealed short film; Special Bulletin: We Interrupt This Program; undead scenes with commentary by Snyder; , Surviving Dawn Oof The Dead featurette; and DVD-ROM features.

The unrated edition will include the same features as the rated set, as well as an Attack Of The Living Dead featurette and a Splitting Headaches: Anatomy Of Exploding Heads featurette.

The SRP for each of the four sets will be $29.98.
