newcomers Kia and Blackwater are so weak they should have been given two imports each to be at par with other teams

bakit si Pena pa ang kinuha ng ginebra eh ang tatangkad na nila, considering that they already have slaughter, aguilar, and their tall import.

they should have traded one of their guards for a wing player/slasher coz oversupply na sila ng guards and underachieving pa.

who wins in this trade: SMB
who lost: barako again (farm team?)

Yet another lopsided & unethical trade courtesy of SMCorp prime teams and one of its farm teams.

BGK wins simply because even an aged Pena is serviceable compared to the klutz JR Reyes - whom Ato Agustin has no plans of using ..... by the way, JR Reyes is injured to, so why Comm. Cheato Salud approved this trade is beyond me.  ;)

SMB wins (anyone surprised?), since Chua isnt being used and JR Reyes is tall enough to be a center-reliever for Fajardo.

As for BARAKO, it is a sh1t franchise who wont go away since they're being bankrolled by no less than Ramon Ang himself.

Sobrang lupit nang negosyanteng ito ...... basketball na lang dinadaya pa - eh paano na pag dating sa larangan nang negosyo, tulad nang public utilities, etc ???  ;)

Was looking at the Inquirer PBA transactions page....

Barako Bull – released rookie draftee David Semerad.

October 25, 2014

San Miguel Beermen – signed up David Semerad as SMB’s 14th player.

http://pba.inquirer.net/transactions

Wala bang waiver system ang PBA?

So Barako Bull or some other "farm team" can release their players/picks and SMB etc. can just pick them up?  :P

Brader, walang maayos na waiver system ang PBA ....... madaming beses na ginawa ito nang SMCorp farm teams para sa SMCorp main teams (ginawa na din ito nang MVP teams a few times).

Sobrang garapalan ano?

Here's one such murderous transaction that took place a few seasons ago ...... note the irony and hypocrisy.

Back when Josh Urbiztondo was still a high scoring and lead PG of AIR21 (an SMCorp farm team), he was suddenly relegated to the unprotected list of the team - which allowed any team to pick him up, without any compensation e.g. picks, players, etc. for AIR21 whatsoever.

Lo and behold, it was PUREFOODS who picked him up and signed him to a contract.

Then ALASKA head coach, Tim Cone vehemently protested the move, calling it unethical and unfair way for SMCorp to horde more players ...... Tim Cone then was very vocal about SMCorp's many illegal ways to get players and draft picks.

Fast forward a few conferences later, Tim Cone becomes the head coach of PUREFOODS and he performs many lopsides trades with their fam teams (Mallari, Maliksi, Devance, etc) ..... here's the killer - Tim Cone trades Urbiztondo back to AIR21/BARAKO for the rights to bluechip rookie Ian Sangalang !!

SALUD TO STEP DOWN AS PBA CHIEF

It's about effin time ...... sana totoo na tatakbo sa darating na eleksyon si Cheato Salud - then sana madaya siya nang makakalaban niya.  ;D

The sad thing, the damage has been done - SMCorp teams has cornered all the top young talents - I estimate that more than 80% of SMB, SMC & BGK was built using their farm teams BARAKO, AIR21 & GLOBALPORT.

Sana completely biased ang susunod na Commissioner. No to Willie Marcial - tuta din nila Danding yan.

the next Commissioner should be independent of SMC and the Pangilinan group to be fair with the other teams. marami naman jan qualified eh.

considering his previous attachment with Ginebra as playing coach, the Big J cannot be considered independent and his decisions will always be prone to suspicion.

The way Big J voted on the recent PBA 40 Greatest Players, shows that he sides where the money is - plus the fact that he has an "eternal" contract with the GINEBRA brand, makes him a poor candidate.

Glad to hear that JB Baylon is being eyed as a potential candidate - in his last PBA stint, Baylon ha shown high principles - was the team manager of the last non-GILAS National team ......  more importantly, he was against under-the-table and farm team deals, and he was very public about it.

JB Baylon should be the next PBA commissioner.
