Newbie buying a budget media player
« on: Oct 29, 2014 at 01:37 AM »
Hi All! I am a newbie when it comes to media players and not fuzzy or critical on new tech. I just want a cheap and reliable player. My plasma is just 720p and my av receiver only accommodate optic or coax audio input. I already have a wd 2 terabyte external hd so I don't need internal hdd. My budget is really low ( around 2K). I can entertain slight used units.
My question is, can you guys help direct me to a proper media player for my needs and budget. TIA  ;D

Thanks pipo_4321 for the quick reply.  ;) Is the Thompson media player tried and tested already? Looks promising for the price.  ;)

How about the Measy A1HD, is it still a good budget buy this days.  ;D

Also, interested at the Minix Neo X5 mini at 3.6K, though lagpas sa budget but it's a newer model and look promising too. Any reviews on this model here in pdvd.  :D

For 2K, you can get the ASUS O! Play Mini.

Question also,

What media player can support 3tb External HDDs? Much better if it would have an XBMC function where you can download information for the movies and presented in a nice way. Yung user friendly sana and easy to use. I have XBMC but sa PC ko. Does the Asus Oplay Mini have this function? 3 to 3.5k budget. My current media player cannot support 3tb.
Say hello to my little friend!
