I remember Tatad's remarks about Erap when they were still campaigning (him with Miriam) against many others including Erap.

he said when they asked people if they want a President that is sugarol, the people would shout AYAW!
they asked people if they want a President that is babaero, the people would shout AYAW!

when they asked "Sino ang iboboto nyo?" the people shouted "ERAP!"

many Filipinos think like this. They hate things but still love the person who does the things they hate.

I just posted it to somehow support ojofool's observation about Pinoy's focus on personalities and not on the message they carry. Going back to the topic: The Green Pope having an audience who in some ways have manifested the opposite of what the Pope's message should have effected

Natatawa ako pag may mga bisita dito kungwari mahilig tayong magsabi ng mabuhay, e ang totoo wala naman gumagawa nyan sa tunay na buhay...

May masabi lang na ugali naten mga pinoy yan haha!

In a way, yes. But most atheists would say that if you can prove to them that there IS a God, they will change their mind On the other hand, most religious people would reject anything outright that tries to disprove the existence of God.
