Bought a SAKURA AV5023US - 4,000 and BEHRINGER 1202FX - 7,350 yesterday sa Raon.

:) LAPTOP small earphone jack to double RCA using an adaptor (jack).

Question: may iba pa bang connection na pwedeng gawin from laptop to mixer?

Next Plan: Daichi Speakers 12" - 6200 ; speaker tripod 1300/pair

Is there a site where I can download the list of effects for this mixer? Any assistance po is much appreciated.

hmmm... thanks masters and gurus!  madami nanaman natutunan.  I dunno why suddenly I had thought of videoke.  so glad we've had this thread full of unselfish inputs.

at dahil praktikal (o barat din) ako, I might mimic sir praktikal's way of doings.

i've been collecting and DL-ing music videos from YT and several years back, have also checked there karaoke videos.  so I might need a list of songs the whole family wants and DL them one by one =))  hope they'd be all available....

so next would be:
-  shure PM mics
-  mic mixer, perhaps
or as I've read here: sir jojo's "compander"?  looking forward for it come come out hehe

what I currently have is HT AVR too and a recently unused pair JBL N24 + small sub.

until I have started collecting a number of YT karaoke videos and while without mics and a mixer, I'll play it via smart phone and sing inside the bathroom muna..   ;D

At this day and age it's really easy to create your own compilation of videoke songs. I tried to inquire regarding how much I would have to pay to update my TJ media player (last update was 2013. ;D) The 4000 quote is making me think twice.

Just an update since nalalapit na ang pasko, sinubukan kong imaximize ang gamit ng 733 by using the 2 speaker out to a pair of ordinary/cheap ht speaker then ang another pair of speaker out to the high level input ng sub connected to my pair of 5 footer main ht speakers. Big improvement sa dating pair of cheap speakers and a sub.

Hi fellow Pdvd members, Any advice on where I can download a PDF file for the list of effects available para sa behringer 1202FX as there was none included sa package. All I have is the range of effects that shows on the device itself. As of now I use number 22 which works but still I need advice on what are the effects applicable for Videoke. Another question is can I connect my Pioneer AVR to my mixer so it can only output sa sounds and not the vocals coming from the mic. My set up right now is from Platinum X-5 player I have an RCA splitter. 1 goes directly to my Pioneer AVR and the other splitter goes into the Behringer mixer. the main output of the mixer then goes to my Sakura 733 amplifier where the vocals and sounds comes out. I want to get rid of the splitter but as I was told by the store where I purchase the mixer, vocals will also but sent to my pioneer avr if I hook it to the CD/Tape out or control room out. Any suggestion is much appreciated.

Re effects. Best if you could listen to them 1 by 1 talaga ang choose.
Re pioneer AVR thing, why would you still use the AVR kung sound only ang palalabasin mo? Why not connect the source directly to the mixer?

Hi Sir Nelson,

I use the Pioneer AVR for 2 things. first I upscaled the video source from 480p to 1080p casting to my PJ via HDMI. Secondly po I use the external stereo audio sa Pioneer AVR para po lahat ng speakers ay may sound. I don't want the vocals to through the speakers conneted to the Pioneer receiver as sometimes feedback from the mic can cause issues with the speakers. I'm not sure if kayang walang vocals na lalabas sa pioneer AVR if I hook it to the mixer. I want only the sounds from the source to be played sa Pioneer AVR while the vocals and sounds plays on the sakura 733.

So sir Nelson there is no way na I can filter only the sounds from the mixer when I hook up my Pioneer receiver to it? Like what you've said the mic is currently connected to the mixer.

Imo, all you need is speaker (cable) splitter which Marcrenz can make you one.
Also, compare mo ang output/tunog using your 1202fx + pioneer ; 1202fx + 733 using effect 22 & then 733 alone kung alin ang mas ok.

In my case, nililipat ku lang ang connection ng speakers using banana plugs kasi same speakers lang din ang gamit ko on both HT and Karaoke. Video output is not much of a concern since lyrics lang naman ang habol mo dun and besides, we're using iPad as player/screen. Hth ;)

I also use #22 (Plate reverb). The goal is to liven up the vocals without over extending. Reverb makes the vocals more natural sounding in a room/hall scenario. The BBD echo that comes with most videoke machines sounds as if your voice are bouncing of a mountain.

As for rerouting, explore CD/Tape to Ctrl switch. You then use the Ctrl Room Out to one of your amps with/without the vocals. You can also reroute via FX Send.

HTH,

Cheers

@Sir praktikal, I already tried the player + 733 amp and the mic is connected sa 733 and di ko po nagugustuhan ang timpla ng delay and repeat para po ng may kulang. I engaged the Pioneer AVR for 2 reasons. first po is I use it to upscale the video source from 480p to 1080p casting to my PJ po. @sir JojoD818, We're using the same effects pala. I'd worked with all the effects and found that effects number 22 was the best sa pandinig ko po. As for the CD/Tape to Ctrl switch I will explore that route po and crossing my fingers na it will only send the sounds to my pioneer avr without vocals.

@Sir Nelson de Leon, Thanks for all the advises po.

Would that enable a simultaneous volume adjustment for both the receiver and other amp via mixer?

Remember to engage CD/Tape to Ctrl but not CD/Tape to Mix first. Disengage FX to Ctrl. CD/Tape signal level is controlled by the Main Mix slider only.

That is essentially the idea. Ctrl ops is mainly used for "cue'ing" but in his case it is relegated for signal rerouting.

Hi sir JojoD818,

When engaging the CD/Tape to Ctrl button, Do I have to move the source connection from line 3/4 to CD/Tape In? or just leave the source connected to line 3/4?

Yes sir, you need to use the CD/Tape In for connecting your videoke source.

I'm not 100% certain it will work, but I did read the manual for the 1202 and though it is vaguely described how to use the CD/Tape option it's worth to try.

Other larger mixers have programmable/assignable post-fader options, let's hope we can use this idea to route only the source to one of your amps.

On the other hand, what you have now using a y-splitter works just as good, the only problem is you need to adjust two volume controls. My only worry is phase inversion during the processes but since this is only for videoke purposes (I don't mean to derogate) you may get away with it as it is.

Try lang, kaunting oras lang naman mawawala. That way you can fully understand the capabilities, as well as the limitations of your 1202.

Cheers
