Based on the 1962 novel by Philip K. Dick,
The Man in the High Castle features an alternate history of the world in which the Axis powers won World War II. The United States of America has been divided into three regions: The Greater Nazi Reich in the east, the Japanese Pacific States in the West, and the Rocky Mountain States near the center portion, also known as the Neutral Zone.
The pilot was released on January 15, 2015 to critical acclaim and the series was ordered to a full season of 10 episodes. Episode 2 was released on October 23, with the rest of the episodes scheduled to stream on November 20. The series was developed by Frank Spotnitz (
The X-Files), who also serves as Executive Producer along with Ridley Scott.
