I like the trade by OKC. Ibaka was fading as a frontcourt contributor, as OKC was starting to rely on Adams and Kanter more. Lakas ng backcourt na Westbrook + Oladipo, if ever. On ORL's part, 'yun ang di ko maintindihan. A frontcourt of Vucevic and Ibaka seems adequate at best, but Oladipo was valuable.
Being a fan of Orlando, I also like the trade. The trade utilizes the strengths and weakness of the front court. Vucevic is too slow to do help defense, when the defense collapses on a pick, he is too slow to recover. This is what the Magic needs, help defense, shot blocking presence and someone anchoring the middle. On offense, they complement each other, because both have an inside-outside game. I will be happy if Oladipo pans out in OKC. I think, this is already going to be his ceiling. I am hoping him to become a Dwayne Wade type of player, but he can only be Wade on defense. He has a shaky jumper, virtually no 3-point range, and it makes me cringe that he misses wide open layups. I guess the front office of Orlando already got tired of the slow development coming from Oladipo, plus there is a logjam at the wing, with Fournier and Hezonja just waiting to grab those minutes.
