Those are the actual figures? Wow! Lakers overpaying! Jim Buss is under severe pressure. Upcoming season is the last of his three year guarantee that the Lakers will be competitive....at least WCF by next season.

Maybe Deng seems overpriced like Mozgov, given his age and mileage. But under the circumstances, that will do. I'm sure the Lakers have come to grips with where the franchise is now in the changing NBA landscape, and their priority really should be developing and finding complements to the young core. I think this write-up on the deals for Deng and Mozgov is spot on in this regard.

With the departures of Deng and Joe Johnson, the uncertainty surrounding Bosh's health, and the possibility that Wade could also bolt, parang mas may dilemma ang Miami who is in a "win now" mode.

Meanwhile, Indiana is looking good: PG, Jeff Teague, Al Jefferson, Thaddeus Young, a rising Myles Turner. Now a possible trade for Rudy Gay.

How about Mo Harkless and Steve Blake to Lakers?

Speights would be a nice backup center but he'd likely ask to be overpaid (overpaid na nga si Mozgov)

Haha Horford needs to contact Conley's agent! He is getting hoodwinked with that deal. Good that he stayed in the East. Durant needs to go to the East as well. Easy path to the ECF then just battle it out with the Lebron.

Crazy, crazy offseason ....... expected naman, pero a never-been-an-All-Star Mike Conley getting the biggest contract in NBA history (!) That's beyond crazy.

Teams spending like the money is going to run out ....... kung wala talaga, just get some valuable pieces, get to the minimum required, save your cap space - mas lalaki pa ang cap next year, plus mas star-studded ang mga magiging FA's.

If all these reported deals will push through and given who is still under contract, I think the Lakers' depth chart will look like this:

PG - Russell / Lou Williams
SG - Clarkson / Nick Young
SF - Deng / Ingram / Anthony Brown
PF - Randle / Nance
C - Mozgov / Zubac

Based on this, I agree that they need to add a PF/C. Maybe a shooting guard/three-point specialist too. Still lots of quality role players on this list, so help is available if the Lakers can manage to entice more FAs from other teams. But that's a big "if".
