daming moving parts for wade to reunite with Lebron, add the fact that wade needs to make a MAJOR pay cut in order for this to happen-- I'm not even sure if a sign and trade for Klove is even possible. I have my doubts if this will even generate smoke.

Cle has been very quiet with their moves for this year because they are way over the salary cap, without Lebron they are already at the $74M+ mark. add LBJ's possible paycheck and you are looking at a potential $100M roster with 6 more spots to fill. tough summer for Dan Gilbert.

Dwayne Wade deserves to be a max player. He's a champion. Inapi lang sya ni Pat Riley. This would leave a bad impression on Pat Riley and the Miami Heat organization.
Glad Wade grab the Bulls. Lumakas tuloy and Bulls.

^ Agree. I understand Wade was asking US$50M/2 years from the Heat, but they were only willing to give US$40M/2 years. Bakit kaya hindi pa pumayag sina Pat Riley? Wade was THE face of that franchise since he was drafted, even while LeBron was there. Now they're forced to rebuild prematurely.

CHI has also reportedly unloaded Calderon (to LAL) and Dunleavy (to CLE) to make way for Wade.

I guess this is confirmed...Cavs getting another reliable veteran in Dunleavy...Not sure though how Calderon will fit with the Lakers...

Pat is old school. He probably expected Wade to do a Duncan or Dirk, Wade being past his prime.

IMO its unfair to call out Pat Riley on this.

It was clear to Wade & anyone following the NBA, that Durant & Whiteside were the priority FA targets for the HEAT ....... as priority guys, they're expected to get max. Wade was only the 3rd priority this offseason.

Like the ESPN crew discussed earlier, no one forced Wade to sign-up for reduced contracts the past few years - his past contracts were mutual agreements since it allowed the team to have cap flexibility and sign-up good players to have a contending team e.g. Lebron, Bosh, Goran, etc.

Players like Dirk, Duncan, etc have signed-up for lesser contracts just so their mother teams can have cap flexibility and build a strong team.

Wade took $20M last year ...... it was up to him if another $20M/year contract was acceptable. Probably, the rise in the cap & the sight of inferior players signing massive contracts inspired him to seek bigger.

Like OKC (they let Harden go, just for a difference of $5M/year), the HEAT (and Pat Riley) is a proud organization ...... their owners have clear mandates to stick to acceptable salary cap limits.

Both OKC & MIAMI will rebuild again. Management of both are just too good.

ok pa si calderon na backup pg. he can shoot and he can pass. terrible defender though. may nakuha pa ata na 2 2nd rounders ang lakers aside from him.

Which is why players should not be blamed if they have no loyalty because teams have no loyalty to them either. You take pay cuts during negotiations because there is something in return in future deals, too bad this went sour for wade, his sacrifice got him crap.

^^ Correct. Loyalty works both ways. The Heat owes Wade a lot, gave them 3 championships, and already sacrificed a lot in terms of salary cut. He was still performing at a high clip. He was still the go to guy last year, and nobody else. And it is just high time to pay him up and give him what he really deserves.
The problem with the above statement is that the Heat didn't get Durant. So that means that their 2 priority players are now Whiteside, which they already signed and has the biggest salary on the team, and Wade.

They should have had traded Dragic and his bad contract to afford Wade. Or just shoulder the luxury tax.

Which is why players should not be blamed if they have no loyalty because teams have no loyalty to them either. You take pay cuts during negotiations because there is something in return in future deals, too bad this went sour for wade, his sacrifice got him crap.

His 2010 salary paycut got him to play with Lebron & Bosh and gave him and his team 2 more championships ....... his minor paycut last offseason, gave him and his team some flexibility, resulting in them contending this past season (Barring a Whiteside/Bosh injury, they would've been in the East Finals).

$20M/year was all the HEAT was willing to give and having some flexibility and retaining some key pieces ....... it was all up to Wade if it was insulting to him or not. Sad, that it wasn't enough for him and Miami losing the face of the fanchise.

The sad reality of the NBA is, not all franchises operate the same way ........ teams like the LAKERS, CAVS, CLIPPERS, NETS (a few years back) are very much willing to go beyond the cap and pay the resulting luxury taxes. These teams have the benefit of being in big revenue markets and/or have aggressive ownership.

Some teams (moreso the small-market teams) like OKC, IND, SAS, MIA, etc have relatively cheapskate ownership who hire elite management in order to build a contender while operating under the cap and limited luxury tax spending, if any.

Sad day for everyone, except the BULLS.  ;D

Lebron is going nowhere, except the CAVS this coming season ....... ownership is very much willing to pay him max and their key pieces e.g. Love, Tristan, etc. (heck they paid $50M+ in luxury taxes for last season) ..... they're the clear best in the East, almost an automatic slot in the NBA Finals.

There's absolutely zero reason for Lebron to leave the CAVS (again) ....... except maybe, if there's a chance for him to play somwhere else with his banana-boat team ex. Wade, Melo, Paul & him.  :D

I won't dispute naman that he got the championships he wanted, but the team also benefitted from his sacrifice and the same rings that they got so Ang sakin is, if I choose to screw your organization walang samaan Ng loob kasi I'm looking out for myself. Dahil pagtanda ko you won't give me what I left on the table back.
