you first need to know the speakers' impedance and watts ratings. I hope they're not in 3ohms.there are AVRs that can drive 4ohms to 8ohms speakers... just be easy on the volume, as AVR's may push your speakers hard if you hit the volume too high.

i think cheaper HTiB ones they made them in 3-ohms, not sure why.I previously have Logitec Z5500 and the satellites are in 8ohms..
How about an Audioengine N22? I'm in a similar situation as you - I have leftover unused speakers from a JBL SCS speaker set and I'm considering the Audioengine N22. They're sold locally by Dexterton.
