Dormiendo on Lav:
" A good filmmaker must be able to tell a story within the span of 2-3 hours; anymore than that, you have a problem...He should respect his audience. Not everyone is willing to watch a 10 hour film and I other things to do than to just watch movies!"
This is being said 1) without having seen
Ebolusyon, and 2) having acted in it. Not just Tarr, Warhol, and Kobayashi, but Kurosawa's masterpiece
Seven Samurai is 3 1/2 hours, Edward Yang's masterpiece
A Brighter Summer Day is 4 plus. I respect Mr.Dormiendo very much, but he has been out of the loop with regard to contemporary cinema for quite some time.
