sir jojoD,

musta na phonostage mo? were you able to implement the 4th constant? how was it?

sir,

tagal na tapos yun, nasa ibang bahay na din.  ;D ayus yun cct na yun, lalu na pag may 4th constant, parang anti-sibilance ang effect.  ;D

kaso pag pangit plaka, pangit din tunog, pag maganda plaka, ganda din tunog. hehehe, di marunong magsinungaling.  ;D ;D ;D ;D

Sir, gusto ko sana malaman difference with or without 4th constant. malaki ba audible difference?
ano power supply ginamit mo, ss o tube rectified?

maraming salamat po!

In my simple words, yun walang 4th constant medyo matalas, and to some materials, sibilant din. Yun meron naman sir, mas controlled yun highs, parang mas clearer sya at may definition. Di marunong magsinungaling, pag panigt plaka pangit din tunog.  :)

I used ss rectifiers (UF4007) only with a B+ = 385VDC, as always, paramount filtering is a must. Duncan's PSU designer helped a lot in this department. I was supposed to have regulated the phono psu with a Mosfet pero di na push thru sir.

Sana tube rectifier naman pag ikaw na nag try.  ;D

redmagic,

I forgot to add, this is my 1st tube phono stage with a "passive" RIAA, yun mga nauna ko na tube phono stage puro "active" RIAA, yun bang nasa feedback yun RIAA network. Kaya medyo iba sya sa ears ko.

cheers!

jojo,

o nga pala. the 4th constant you implemented is 965R? not 1 k?  have you tried both? if yes, how would they differ in sound? mahirap ata hanapin value kasi nun dito eh.

manythanks!

Yup, 965R yun composed of 56R + 909R resistors. Sabi ni Frank ok naman daw kung 1K gamitin pero minabuti ko na yun sumunod sa computed value.

Di ko pa nasubukan 1K, pag na try nyo review ha.  ;D

your attention to details is worth emulating by other diy'ers!
for starters, those stainless steel screws gives your creations a look of elegance, myself stopped using those g.i. 5-40's with square nuts from DEECO a long, long time ago, eversince i discovered tusoy circa 1980's.
certeinly it is well worth the trip to aranque!
