Ouch!  Achilles injuries I noticed take longer to recover from compared to an ACL.

di kaya maaga siyang bumalik from his injury? kaya na-stress ung other leg?

Hazards of the trade.

Possible. Well one thing is sure...if its ACL that would be another year of rehab and when he comes back he wont be the same.

If DRose was able to come back then Klay can. Up to him.

He worked really hard to overcome the adversity.

Nasa tao talaga. Itong si Klay medyo mahihirapan if he doesn't disconnect himself from the distractions of the high life.

Klay will be able to come back that's for sure.  The hard part there is regaining the form, stamina, endurance etc.  We should always remember that these guys played basketball their entire lives and at a late age an injury stops them from playing a whole year (in Klay's case its 2 years) which is so hard to do for these guys.  Getting back to form is the real challenge since Basketball relies a lot of muscle memory.  Good thing that Klay's game doesn't rely on his quickness and jumping ability.

Props to DRose as well. Many said that he will struggle since his game was predicated on quickness and jumping ability. While he isn't and wont be the MVP version of old, he still manages to be an elite player post injury.

Hayward just opted out and is a UFA... i wonder if he and GSW are interested in a short term deal?  to replace Klay...

seems like a perfect fit.  may trade exception ang GSW and i think they also get cap relief for the 1 year injury kay Klay so they should have money to throw at signing Hayward

Mukhang si Kelly Oubre na ang kukunin nang GSW using their trade exception ............ somewhat replaces the loss of Klay.

sabagay, younger and showed upside in PHX.  hopefully he meshes with Curry, Green and Kerr...

NBA guru Bobby Marks tweets out that by getting Oubre, GSW will see their luxury tax charges rise from $66M to $134M.

If possible, GSW should probably apply for a disabled exception from the NBA ........... maka-bawas bawas sa payroll ang taxes nila.

younger... not necessarily better. ang issue kay Hayward is we haven't seen his Utah Jazz form after the freak ankle injury his first game with Boston. so not sure if he's still the same guy.  with that in mind, Oubre may have higher upside. but personally, i like Hayward better

At this exact moment, yes ............ Oubre was streaking with the SUNS, Hayward seems to be injured every year, since he left the JAZZ.

Mas talented overall si Hayward, he already made an All-Star team ........ plays decent defense. Pero the injuries keep piling-up every year.

I regularly listen to CELTICS podcasts (CLNS Media, etc) and everyone there complains about Hayward getting injured all the time, plus his massive contract.

Hayward's salary which he opted out from was 33M. I don't think he is looking to go to another team to get a pay cut though. Takot din siguro sya na ma-trade sa team na ayaw nya if he opts in because he has an expiring contract at the end of the year.  You never know what Ainge will do.  By opting out he gets full control of his destination.

It's probably almost a certainty he'll get a pay cut on his annual salary.  Specially coming from $34 million.  Same scenario with Al Horford  He opted out from his option of around $30M to sign with Philly for $100M/4 yrs (ave. $25M).  But in the long term, he could easily recoup the $34M he lost.  He could sign for 3yrs/$60M.

^^ yes. Based on his injury history and present capability on the court he should be in the 15M to 20M/year range. Not 35M and up

Meron kayang ginagawa ang NBA to look into this injuries? Klay did not play for a year then got injured. In any case i hope he can pick up where he left off when he returns whenever that may be.

More details from Woj on the GSW-OKC trade for Oubre: the Dubs will be sending a 2021 protected (21 to 30) first-round pick to OKC. If the Dubs finish the regular season in the top 20, they will be sending two second round picks to OKC instead.

Oubre played really well in the second half of last season for the Suns. Remains to be seen how he'll mesh with Draymond Green and Wiggins. I suppose Wiggins can slide to the SG spot and Green will be a four.
We deserve better.

Oubre to me is more of a slasher than an outside shooter.  My impression is he's a decent outside shooter but his percentage plummets once he becomes a volume shooter.  The paint will be crowded with Oubre, Wiggins and Green along with their rookie.

Can Oubre play defense? Wonder if he can be GSWs next Iggy. :)
