The Nets will definitely lose a lot of games if they don't address their glaring weakness. Top of the list is getting a good defensive anchor. The Cavs scored a total of 136 points in the paint. It was like a layup drill for the past 2 games. Nope, DeAndre isn't the answer since he a shell of his former Clipper self. Irony is that they traded away the perfect guy in Allen. Next is getting the team to buy in on a defensive identity and strategy. They cant just try to outscore their opponents in all of their games. The Cavs are the worst in offensive efficiency in the NBA and they gave the Nets a lot of problems. If Kevin Love played in both games I doubt it very much if neither game will reach OT.
Well if everything doesn't go well they will always have the PG excuse of "nobody was expecting them to go all the way" this season. I also agree to many of those who see that Kyrie is the odd man out here. He can be flipped in the off season for quality assets that will bolster their interior defense and provide decent scoring punch from the bench unit. If they are in a hurry to turn things around then they can do it before the trade deadline which is March 25.
