Last day of the regular season tomorrow, with several games still having key playoff implications:
Eastern Conference:
CHA @ WAS (both 33-38): Winner gets the 8th seed and plays BOS in the play-in. Loser faces IND in the 9/10 play-in game.
BOS @ NYK (40-31), HOU @ ATL (40-31), MIA (39-32) @ DET: If NYK wins, they get the 4th seed even if ATL wins bec of the tiebreaker held by the Knicks.
If MIA wins and ends up with the same record as both NYK and ATL, the three-way tiebreaker rule gives ATL the 4th seed, MIA the 5th seed and NYK the 6th seed. If MIA wins and ends up with the same record as ATL only, ATL gets the 5th seed while MIA gets the 6th seed. On the other hand, if MIA wins and ends up with the same record as NYK only, MIA gets the 5th seed while NYK gets the 6th seed.
If MIA loses, it will be locked as the 6th seed.
CLE @ BKN (47-24), MIL (46-25) @ CHI: MIL owns the tiebreaker and gets the 2nd seed in case they win and BKN loses. A BKN win locks them as the 2nd seed.
Western Conference:
MEM @ GSW (both 38-33): Winner gets the 8th seed for the play-in. Loser faces SAS in the 9/10 play-in game.
DEN @ POR (41-30), LAL (41-30) @ NOP, DAL (42-29) @ MIN: A POR win relegates LAL to the play-in as the 7th seed, whether or not LAL wins. But a POR loss and a LAL win switches their seedings, with POR ending up as the 7th seed in the play-in and LAL getting the 6th seed even if DAL loses.
A DAL win or a POR loss locks DAL as the 5th seed. A DAL loss and a POR win gives POR the 5th seed and DAL the 6th seed, even if LAL wins.
DEN (47-24) @ POR, LAC (47-24) @ OKC: DEN owns the tiebreaker and gets the 3rd seed in case both DEN and LAC win or if both DEN and LAC lose.
PHX (50-21) @ SAS, UTA (51-20) @ SAC: PHX owns the tiebreaker and gets the 1st seed in case they win and UTA loses. A UTA win locks them as the 1st seed.
