bx2 is incoming by november or december. thats what audio stores told me.

if br2 is 25k, then rx1 would seem a better proposition @27k, a step-up range, latest silver series.

---

at least two audioShop are also pairing MA silver series (rx2, rx6) with Audio Analogue Crescendo (50-watter).

havent auditioned them yet, hows ur impression?

Sirs, question lang po, yung br5 ay may impedance na 6 ohms, what would be the difference to other FS na may 8 ohms impedance? What should I look in specs of FS sensitibity and impedance po ba (higher the better?)

Forget about impedance and sensitivity. If it sounds good enough for you and loud enough for you and looks good enough for you, then go ahead. Specs across different makes are not too far off from one another.

Anyway, short answers. Lower impedance - harder to drive, need more current. Lower sensitivity - less loud, given the same amount of power.

i highly recommend MA's BR5 and BR2. both are excellent speakers if you're after the MA brand.
also consider the B&W 685, you can never go wrong with these choices.

cheers.  :)

nice, di ka rin nakatiis sa MAs.

anyway, saw the B2 / B4 / Bronze centre specs = up to 22KHz lang HF extension nya, far from the 30KHz for the BR2 / BR5 / BRLCR or of the new BX series.

Hi guys, Bumili ako ng RX6 4 months ago, ang problema hanggang ngayon ay very harsh pa rin ang lower frequency ng tweeter especially sa matinis na voice. Average playing time 2-3 hours every other day on moderate sound level. Mawawala rin kaya yon? Hanggang kelan kaya? Anybody have experienced on RX6? Thanks.

is it over the 100-200 cumulative hours running time?

my previous speakers were like that, it took almost a year to break in, simply because I wasnt using it that often.

you may also want to use MA's detox CD and see if that will help

Thanks mikeer2002ph for the reply.

No, its a different brand - acoustic energy (Evo 1s), also british just like MA. Most audio forums say its really a tough nut to crack when it comes to break ins.

MAs also are quite a feat to break in, hence they made their own break-in CD to help accelerate the process.

Well I suggest you just continue to use your speakers either more often, or longer, or crank up the volume a bit more (or all of these 3) and just put up with the harshness, im sure it will disappear eventually

MA's (like most british speakers) are quite liquid and have not much 'harshness' so most likely your 'moderate' volume may still be too soft, or if that is not the case, the speakers need more time to breathe.

Break-in na nga dapat yan bro but give it a bit more time at isang pasada pa ng XLO baka makuha na.

Any particular artist? baka matinis lang talaga voice nya.
