Try to consider silver especially the gold series. Super ganda ng gold. Baka 1 time bilihan na lang din peros super tagal na kayo ulit bago mag-upgrade.

Hindi naman if you would compare it sa ibang brands using ribbon tweeters.

May masama balak yung is ajan. Ayan brader go for gold na parang olympic gold medal yan. Pero may mga nag sasabi sa akin silver series ng monitor audio maganda pano pa kaya yung gold may gold kaya sa loob ng speaker?

Mas balanced yun tonality for me yun gold. Pero, shemps, what may sound balanced to me, may not sound balanced to you.  nevertheless, no harm in auditioning. Free naman.

anyone here heard rx1 paired with rotel (ra-06 se)? how does it compare to b&w 685? i find the 685 paired with rotel lacking in detail on the highs. thanks..

The 685 really "leans" toward the warm side. If it's detail that you want you should listen to Mordaunt Short Mezzo speakers at 5th Avenue stores.

I agree. I was impressed by the Mezzo 2 sound. The details run straight to your face. That's how engaging it is.

Gud day MA owners, just wanna hear your opinions & suggestions...

Currently I'm using Monitor Audio S2 x4 (front & rear), SLCR (center), SFX (which I'm not yet using)

I'm contemplating of upgrading my whole speaker system (5.1) to:

RX2, RX1, RXC, RXFX or RSFX (pag may budget na)

Do you think it's worth the upgrade ?
Considering the built & quality ... (Made in England vs ?)
Are the current silver models still using real-wood veneers ?
Coz it's the main reason why I chose MA speakers (ayoko kong makitang magtuklapan yung mga veneers nila in due time)

i heard from people for keeps and silver S series dahil maganda talaga, considering parehong MA nag choices mo, ti boils down to hearing the RX before deciding, pwedeng maganda yung RX sa iba pero sa iyo hindi, case in point, im using RS6 and RSLCR, i prefer this one compared to RX6 and RXLCR na mas bagong modelo because mas maganda ng HF ng RS para sa akin, suites me very well, gusto ko kase talaga yung [arang in your face agad yung tunog

Anyone heard the old MA Bronze B2's paired with a Cayin A50t or any tube amp for that matter?  Just wondering about the experiences of people with regards to this pairing.

I would suggest try to audition the RX model, but for me speaking of SQ, though refined na ang new models sa Silver series ng MA ay medyo bright ang RS/RX as compared to the original S series.  You need to paired it with good electronics to make them really sing.  Prestige wise, I will keep the S2, but if you have an extra currency to burn, then go for RX or better the GX model para isang bilihan na lang....I tell you, night and day ang difference ng SQ of GX especially kapag tube amplifier ang ginamit...heard the GX-100 with a Cayin A88T and damn...Thought it was a floorstanders ang tumutugtog (not a big fan of Cayin though).  Very wide soundstage from a small package with excellent details as if the band is in front of you playing live, but then again, MA Gold & Silver needs a good electronics (something the caliber of Roksan, Exposure, Marantz or best with Lavardin if you're into SS).  BTW, and if you're planning to dispose your S2, basta walang scratch or dents....just let me know

Once I'm a proud owner of the MA S6 and GR-10 (originally Handcrafted in England) six years back, though I already achieved my audio orgasm este audio nirvana through a very drastic upgrades, I still want to have the original S1 or S2 for collection especially if it's in rosemah or santos rosewood finish.  Goodluck

Ok will consider auditioning them 1st b4 upgrading, besides it took me quite some time para mabuo tong S series na toh.... ang habol ko kasi is yung floorstander sound-like ng RX2 (according sa reviews) but I've yet to hear them baka kasi konti lang difference coz the S series has 7" woofers while RX2 has 8"

Quality & built, almost the same but with some improvements sa new models.  Ito ang gusto ko sa MA, hindi nagiging cheapo ang gawa nila but if you really want to upgrade...I would suggest go for the GX model and it will not disappoint...Ika nga move to the next level.  What's the purpose of UP-grading if you will still remain in the silver model and the SQ difference is subtle or very minimal...Go for GOLD and you will be Happy....IMHO

Once I owned the S6, but then ng marinig ko iyong GR-10, I immediately disposed my S6 and upgraded to Gold.  That small yet powerful monitor paired with my Amadeus KT88 tube amp delivered the near-live reproduction of performances from Rebecca Pidgeon, Jheena Lodwick, The Brothers Four, Harry Belafonte Live @ Carnegie Hall and the whole jazz quartet of Eddie Higgins and Scott Hamilton inside my room...

Thanks for the suggestion, actually I heard the new GX50 last week (with ribbon tweeters) malayo nga talaga sya sa silver, kung may extra money lang talaga me why not, it's just way out of my budget, I'd rather throw in a couple of bucks more to amplifiers
