Sir,

It would be better if you can A/B it yourself, so it will not be bias. For starter, I can lend the aurum  :)

Hey Guys,

Jan 2006 issue of AV etc. (the only local A/V magazine) is out! If you can get a copy, read write-up on Ribbon Speaker :) it will open our ears what is ribbon speaker and how it differs from a conventional speaker.

Cheers

It normally takes 2 months for fresh orders to arrive.

1 month to make - since each unit takes 7 days to hand-make with 14 layers of paint they need drying time
1 month to ship out and clear customs.  We might place a new order.  for those wanting special colors or ribbon tweeters please contact noel.

Thanks

Audio Amplified/ Aurus Cantum owners:

Have been saving up for either a Leisure 2SE or 3SE. . . . I intend to put this in our bedroom on a shelf 2 ft deep so the free space between the backwall and the speaker would be about 1ft. Also a TV would be in
the middle of the speakers with about 1.5ft of space between the side of the tv and the side of the speaker.
The bedroom is 10'x13' with the long side of the bed parallel to the 10' wall.
Questions:
     1. Would it be wise to have just 1 ft space between the backwall and the speakers? Will the sound be
affected by such a small clearance since this speaker has a rear port. I am now using diamond 9.1s and
it seems to be not affected by the small clearance( it has front ports )
     2. Would a 1.5 ft clearance between the speaker and the tv be enough because I understand that these
         speakers are not shielded.

Any comments/suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Sir all Aurum Cantus Speaker are magnetically shielded  ;)
For audio/video consideration: If your speaker is not shielded it should be kept at least a foot away from TV set  8)

Will not comment on number 1 (coz I'll be biased) but at our showroom we are placing it near the side wall and about 2 to 3 from the front wall.

Cheers

Sir,

Thanks for your interest on Aurum Cantus speakers.  Best way to address your doubts is to audition the speakers first-hand and simulate the conditions of your room.  If you are happy with what you hear in our showroom we can even lend you a pair to try at home for your final decision.  We are confident about our product as we have tested them ourselves but of course our opinion can always be biased hahaha as noel said.... let your ears decide for you.

Please give us a call and we can set-up the system you are interested in for you.  You can even bring in your amp

Ding45 - Congrats!

Enjoy your new speaker sir. Be patient, Leisure 3SE uses  Mundorf supreme capacitor and it needs 200hrs break-in period.  :)

looks like my brother is planning to set up the aurum cantus F6600 speakers i left him. he's been asking me what AVR should he purchase since the speakers are rated at 4 ohms.

i suggested yamaha since there's an impedance switch at the back. care to suggest AVRs other than Yamaha? his budget is under 18k.

Using  Cambridge Audio Azur 540A ....... If I want to hear a little more detail at the expense of bass extension, I use my Sonic Impact T as power amp and the Azur as preamp........I dont listen at high volumes, the volume
knob on the Azur rarely goes beyond 9 o'clock....

I came from Audio Amplified yesterday and crisel was very accommodating to us. Thanks crisel!

He let us audition so many speakers. And they sounded great!

I loved the Leisure series, they sound awesome! Those ribbon tweeters really sound good.

I was surprised that the low priced F series sounded good too. Value for money HT speakers.

So guys, dont hesitate to pass by Audio Amplified to audition these speakers!

hi guys,

any comments on the Aurum Cantus 5000C and 5000R? Do you think these center and surround speakers would complement my HK 235, Infinity 360 and JBL E250P?
