Topic: Sex & the City 1 to 6 - Limited Shoe Box Set R1??

i was surfing some sites and discovered that the entire 6 seasons placed in a limited pink shoe box is being sold in the UK (since October 25) and will soon be available in australia (by november 25).

anyone have news if an R1 (or better yet... an R3) version is in the works?



not bad price too... all 6 seasons for less than AU$250 for the R4 and under £130 for the R2. PAL nga lang. 

just wondering because all i see in R1 stores is the bundled set...

question is... will an R1 (or R3) NTSC version be made available? hope so.... 

(kind of prefer the individual "see thru" packs of the R1 kasi... but i like the r2's cover layout naman and for peeps who don't have a single season on dvd like myself... this is a good buy.)

wrong with PAL? nothing naman ... especially if you have a multisystem TV. (but i don't. and i'd need to use my generic player to convert it to NTSC. )

i have no qualms about PAL... but generally, i prefer to get NTSC copies if and when i can. (this way it can be played anywhere without hassle. kahit hindi generic yung player.)

also, baka sakali may added extras ang R1 na wala sa R2 & 4.

i guess they thought the blahnik boxes looked too plain.

The New York Daily News was the first to break the news that HBO would be releasing a big box set for Sex and the City back in Feb, and now they have a followup story with more information.

The 20 disc release will include all 94 episodes; 19 previously released discs, and one disc with new bonus material. The complete run of the series will be released on November 1, with a suggested retail price of $299.95. It'll come in an "ultrasuede" box, which sounds cool, but we don't know what it'll actually look like.

There's no word on whether fans who bought the previous releases will be able to get the box, or the bonus disc.

HBO has released information on the contents of the 20th disc in their massive Sex and the City DVD collection, due to hit stores on November 1, as well as packaging shots.

Extras will include:
Sex Essentials - a video jukebox for advice, quips and quotes on dating, sex, fashion and more.

Location, Location, Location - a guide to the restaurants, clubs and boutiques frequented by Carrie and friends.

Naughty or Nice? - the ultimate test to find out which character from the series you are most like.

You Can Quote Me On It - a "finish that phrase" game that tests your knowledge of the show.

En-SEX-lopedia - an all encompassing guide that takes a look back at the defining moments in dating, fashion, friendship and relationships.

looks nice. the only problem i see is the way the disc holder was designed. it would definitely bring some scratches to the dvd.

i believe this was patterned from Freak and Geeks LE.

ako rin, i like r2's layout esp in season 6! it was the same as the one released here locally. di nga lang sinama ung extras.

ndi ba medyo yellowish ang PAL discs? that was what i noticed kahit noong vhs pa lang. mom ko kc works in the mid. east and she usually brings home PAL videos. medyo yellowish e. yun din ang napansin ko sa mga DVDs esp sa binili kong Ken Park Uncensored from Russia.
