I have a confession to make guys. Despite the many times I auditioned it in shops, I NEVER liked the B&W 6 series. No offense to B&W owners. It so lacked the dynamics I was looking for.

But yesterday I heard the B&W 601 + BADA hybrid integrated Mang Sonny was raving about. WOW!!!

I am officially & humbly taking back everything (neg) I said about B&W (6 series) in this forum!

Now I am a B&W 6 series FAN!!!

Apparently most of those I auditioned in shops before must have been w/ underpowered amps, so I never heard these babies sing this well.

Sir Matzter, got the nautilus (black glass) and 1 set of optional spike last Friday. I was not able to install the optional spike, intended at the shorter tube frame for the included screws are long. I would need 4 pcs of shorter screws (20mm instead of 40 mm) allen screw. Pls advise if screws would be available today for pick up.

Over all ang pogi ng rack na ito! Thanks.

Thanks sir, Butch has the screws ready for you. We were sure we sent the smaller screws but they were probably misplaced.

I dont have any more stocks of the 2 channel to compare it with the hybrid, besides it wont be an "apple to apple" comparison since the hybrid has a pre-amp section while the power amp does not.

But supplier told me before that the hybrid uses high grade parts that they could not include in the lower priced models due to cost implications. The pre-amp section of the hybrid w/ 4 tubes is very good, so probably (just a hunch) the hybrid will still sound better than a tube pre-amp plus the bada power amp. But it would also depend on the pre-amp.

the only store capable of letting you audition both (as of now) is SGT Home theater, as they have a hybrid unit and a Bada tube pre-amp there. I dont know if they have sold the 2 channel power amp I saw there a few days ago, as I was told it was already reserved.
