Maybe you mean 32 cm (12.60 inch)? If it is then charge for foam edge replacement is Php 700, for rubber surround its Php 800 per speaker (parts & labor).

Hello Speaker Doctors!

Can you repair this?

May parang rattle na basag yung tunog sa bass and yung isang unit ko, binuksan ko tapos napunit ko yung outer part ng speaker.

Ribbon type speakers are non-repairable.

Sir Benedict I'm excited to get my Paradigm PS-1000 speaker, sana bumalik sa dati ung quality ng sound nya. One of the best sub kse yan nung binile ko.

Hopefully I get the speaker tom if not on weekend.

If it's unrepairable is there anything we can do with it? like putting new tweeter in the speaker box?

i have the same dilemma but with my old infinity ribbon tweeter. luckily my old friend restored it. but sadly hes not around anymore... just needed the woofer driver sir...

Got my Paradigm PS-1000, tried using it yesterday mejo matigas pa ung tunog but I think that's normal. Overall I'm happy sana lang walang lumabas na sira after several days/weeks.

See if you could help me.
I salvaged 4 pcs of 12" cast aluminum drivers from an old sansui L800 speakers. Also included are 2 pcs crossovers and 2 pcs horn tweeters (obviously it's a 3 way speaker). It was supposedly sold at the junkshop but due to sentimental reason I kept it for almost 20 years now. However these were damaged during the flood in pampanga and the box destroyed. 3 drivers were repaired (replacement of foam, cone, and dustcap) and according to the person who performed the job all the coils weren't damaged except 1. All the drivers have the same size of magnet but what confuses me is that the 2 has smaller dust caps. Maybe these are the mid/woofers and the other 2 the subs. The repair person replaced the dust caps with the same size that is why I could not figure which is which.. I guess the 2 horn tweeters also needed to be repaired/replaced. I do not have any idea if the crossovers are still working.

I am a woodworker so building the box is not a problem. I just want your advise if it is still viable or worth the time, effort and money to pursue this project. I may hire your services to restore these drivers and the other stuff that came with it. thanks and hope to receive a response from you

Puwede kaya hintayin kung magpapalit lang ako ng foam edge? Medyo malayo kasi panggagalingan ko para isang trip na lang. Bale dalawang speakers, 12" woofers.

Good Morning. Hindi po pwedeng antayin ang re-edging dahil: 1. Hahanapan po namin ng foam edge na sasakto sa speaker mo. Wala pong standard na 12" na edge, ibig sabihin hindi po sakto sa lahat ng 12" speaker ang mga foam edge na nabibili. 2. Lilinisin muna at pagtapos patutuyuin po maigi ang dikit tapos isesentro para masiguro na maayos ang speaker mo. Pwede mo naman pong balikan ang speaker mo sa susunod mong luwas dito sa Manila o di kaya naman ay pwede naming padala sa courier pabalik sa inyo.

sir babed,

Matagal na po kaming hindi nagre-repair ng AVR. Very time consuming po kasi natetengga yung mga nakapila na speakers for repair

Nakagawa na po kami ng ganyan. Ano po ibig sabihin nyo na tinanggal na ang cone at spider? Kung irerewind ang voice coil kaya po pero kung kailangan palitan ang cone or edge or spider wala po kaming mapapalit dyan.
