HI Benedict, I have a question and really need some help. My kid accidentally turned on my receiver at high volume and it ended up disabling my subwoofer (A wharfedale SW-100). When I restarted it ayaw na gumana. After tweaking it a bit (turning it off and on and removing and replacing the fuse and playing with the phase shift) gumana na uli. My question is, how do you assess if there was any damage to the sub? Feeling ko me naiba sa sound although dapat LFE's lang ang lumalabas sa kanya. Me bayo pa naman pero feeling ko medyo naiba yung direction nung bass. Dati kasi me bayo paikot sa room. Ngayon sa sides na lang. Wala na sa gitna. Kinda weird if you ask me. Any suggestions on what to do? Is it possible to fry an active subwoofer (In my case a wharfedale sub) or do they have built-in protection mechanisms?
