Pwede mo naman pagdugtungin and put braces sa likod to make them sturdy.

I think 92" ang pinakamalaki na magagawa mo from an 8'x 4' plywood. Mukhang mahirap ata ang DIY kapag 106" or bigger screen kasi kailangan mo ng 52" (vertical dimension) just for the viewing area alone at lalagyan mo pa ng black border.

Or better yet, baka pwede na yun mismong wall (concrete or wood) na lang ang gawin screen para walang dugtong. it's also possible to hire a automotive painter para makinis and walang alon ang masilya. 1 day lang, finish na siya sa masilya and liha part.

54" lapad ng BOC would work kung yun 54" would be yun height. May available na 113" for the width. less tig 1" for the border, may matitira pang 111" for the width. Swak din kay xrampage requirement na 106" - 110" na width. that would produce more than 115" diagonal sukat.

Sabagay pwede naman dugtungan on all sides for the borders (gawan ng malapad na frame in front of the back frame na pinag-staple-an ng BOC).

what's your target in inches diagonally? puede 2 plywood siguro duktong pero mahirap mag duktong sa 1/2" ng walang backing frame, so kakapal ka ng 1/2" thick plywood + 2" framing (using 2" x2") but can be thinner

Better if you have an extra piece of plywood (yung pinagputulan ng screen) then experiment on the levels of gray that would be best suitable for your setup.  Depende rin kasi yan sa PJ mo and room lighting kung mas maganda ang white or ang grey.  Start ka muna with white, kung di ka masaya sa black levels, then saka ka mag-experimento sa grey. You only need a small amount of tinting color.  I just used a barbeque stick and dipped (1 inch deep) it on the tinting color, let it drip a little para matanggal yung sobrang tinting color, then isinawsaw ko naman yung stick sa flat wall enamel and mixed it.  Better to just use 3/4 enamel muna, yung 1/4 eh reserve just in case napaitim masyado pwede mo i-dilute ulit with the white enamel to make it lighter.  Trial and error lang yan. You can paint it first sa extra plywood mo then once matuyo, ilagay mo sa harap ng white screen mo and observe the difference (while projecting a movie).  Kung medyo kulang pa, dagdag ka ulit.  In my case, I needed 4 dippings of the barbeque stick for the 3/4 L ng flat wall enamel.

I needed to repaint mine with grey kasi napansin ko kung white, masyadong bright.  Even if my room is totally dark with lights turned off, light colored yung walls ko kaya the reflection from the white screen illuminates the room and washes out the colors during bright scenes. Now with the grey paint, tamang tama lang siya at gumanda ang black levels niya.  Thinking nga of just selling the 92" Sable fixed frame (cinewhite) that I ordered kasi baka mas maganda pa itong DIY ko since custom painted siya for my PJ setup

Better din to use a non relective material for the black border.  Yung una kong ginamit is black na quick dry enamel (gloss black) since yun lang ang meron sa bahay at sarado ang hardwares during the Holy Week.  Tinapalan ko siya with black felt paper (4 cm wide all around) and definitely better siya compared sa previous black QDE.

I just used roller brush at ok naman.  I'm sure mas uniform at mas makinis kung spray-painted pero I figured mas magastos kasi kailangan ko kumuha ng pintor, wala kasi akong pang-spray.  Roller brush will do.

Thanks Sir. Yup, maganda naman ang kinalabasan.  You just need to sacrifice a few hours of your time.  Malaking tipid.

I used Boysen flat wall enamel.  If you want a light gray finish, just add a small amount of lamp black tinting color (pls refer to my previous post).  Then use black felt paper for the border
