Bumblebee, thank you for your honest opinion
The DALI Concept Series, when matched properly, can really give you many hours of unfatiguing musicality.
During the recent shoot-out, some participants indicated that the highs of the Concept 6s were quite tiring. We were actually surprised with this comment. However, that's what they heard, and we respect their opinions
Many speakers, despite the fact that they are naturally warm sounding, can still sound fatiguing when not partnered with the right equipment. I used to have a Sonus Faber Concerto Home speakers. I liked their warm and full-bodied sound very much. Hooked them up to an integrated Denon amplifier and they were screeching so badly. I never thought that a Sonus can sound like that. It can't be said more than enough that system matching is key in getting the sound that you like

Bumblebee, I hope you don't mind if I comment on your statement above
There are times when Detail is somewhat used to indicate Brightness. During my first years in audio, this was my understanding. But as I got exposed to more audio systems, I learned that more detail does not necessarily mean more brightness. Let me give an example: PRIMARE electronics. Their House Sound is basically smooth, warm and full-bodied. As you listen to their higher models, their house sound remains intact but they provide greater detail, meaning detailed warm and smooth (not bright). Detail is a very good thing as long as its tonality is presented in a non fatiguing way
And to us at AA, this is one of the strengths of the Concept Series
Because they are detailed, one can easily capture the timing and dynamic contrast of the music without being fatiguing, making the listening experience more engaging
Also, brightness should not be mistaken for greater detail. When an equipment is bright, it seems to sound like it's more detailed. But if you listen closely, the detail is not really there, it's just that the frequencies are uneven, giving you an impression of greater detail.

I finally heard the Dali Concept's (2 and 6) w/ an HK receiver and NeuNeo DVD player. My time w/ them is quite short so the ff are just first impressions.
They are indeed detailed, but not too much. Used w/ "warm" electronics, I believe you'll have many hours enjoying them w/o fatigue. They are also loud. Given the same volume setting, they play noticeably louder than the Wharfedale 9.6's and the AE Evo 1's.
Comparing both Dali's, I find the Concept 2 better sounding than the 6. I felt it gave a more balanced presentation.
