I went to a couple of Astroplus and Tower Records outlet and the prices of some of these box sets have not yet gone down. When will these price changes take effect?

Over the weekend, during the mall-wide sale, the prices were marked down at Tower Alabang Town Center. When I dropped by the other day, the regular prices were back and sale price tags removed. I was actually surprised to find out through this thread that the sale is on for 2 months.

WOW! Great titles on sale ulit! Am getting the Superman SE later and probably The Bodyguard and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest SEs. Ubos biyaya!

Superman is not a new SE version by the way. It's the old DVD14 SE flipper version split into 2 DVD9 discs after Warner received lots of complaints regarding defective sets. There is a rumoured new SE release down the line, hopefully by 2006 after the new Superman film is released.

just curious. Why is it that not all Asto outlets put the same titles on sale on the same period. Here in Sucat Center SM, the Video City outlet already has the Warner titles on sale, pero wala pa sa Astrovision in the same mall. Took them a month, I think and not all the titles are there.

Just came back from Astro Podium and hindi pa rin nag rereflect yung sale sa kanila. Wala pa daw memo. The lady from warner was very accommodating though.

She's aware that the warner sale titles will be expanded... but she has no idea when it will start.

Coordination issues? I wonder what that is. In the days of fax, cellphones, texting, email, voip, chat??? Hope they're not using smoke signals.

Making a list of warner titles and faxing it to all their outlets on the same day must be a highly challenging effort for them. If they need consultants for this, tell me.

Turn-off ako sa Superman 2-disc...in keepcase na ngayon tapos parang nabago rin yung logo.
compare sa snapper case above, yung "S" logo sa keepcase parang mas lumiit.

I hope someone can post the actual cover of the 2-disc version for comparison

I think it's only us Pinoys who miss the snapper cases. Too bad they were phased out worldwide. Blame it on the DVDTalk members!

i'm actually glad they finally released this on 2 separate dual layer dvds instead of the old dvd18. (but with the new supes movie coming out next year... i suspect a deluxe/SE/CE/LE edition to come out in time for that. LOL... how to wisely spend your bucks. decisions! decisions!

Yup, same cover but the blue borders are a bit wider on all sides. And yes, I'm almost sure there'll be a Superman anthology set next year. Makes good business sense for Warner.
