Please feel free to stop by the store and listen to the Ikon 2s :)

I think they can place an order for you. Not in stock right now.  Mukhang dumadami na tayong interesado dito ha. :)

Agree with oloap too to compare the aelite 2 with the ikon 2. 2 drivers + 1 tweeter (for the aelite) vs 2 tweeters + 1 driver (soft dome plus ribbon for the ikon 2). That would be interesting.

Sauron and qguy,

should you be the first to listen, pa feedback ha. Im quite intrigued on how the aelite 2 will fare against the ikon 2. Same price range and same target market. Also compared to evo 3 and concept 6. Unfortunately, not much is said about the aelite 2, unlike the ikon 2.

ArchiAudio,

Do they have the same specs? I hope you can also give us your objective views on this, knowingly you're pushing for the ikon. Though in the end, it benefits everybody.

I heard the Aelite 2 at Megamall and instantly loved it. mind you that each one of us has his own preferences...I dig the AE 1, Evo1 and my KEF 105.2 (which has the typical british warm sound) and also the Celestion SL6 series.

I heard the Dali  concept 2 and 6 at AA, last week, I did not hear the Ikon series, given the fact that I prefer warmer sounding gears the Aelite would be my choice over the concept series.  now for the Ikon series,  which is  better (better detail) than the concept series,  than you can assume that I would still prefer the Aelite series, unless the IKON series is totally different from the  concept series, but based on reviews, the Ikon 6  is ruthlessly revealing ...... qguy need not apply here

So in a nut shell, its Detail vs warm sound , its not a matter of which gear is better,  its a matter of what do you prefer ?

AA,

On Bass Slam /power / dynamics wise how would the Evo 3 compare with the Concept 6 ?

qguy,

I hope this is not OT. I like the sound of evo 3 which was pitted agains the MA b4, way before dali concept 6 was in the picture. B4 to me was a bit harsh. I dunno, maybe because of other factors im not aware of. I know both evo 3 and b4 are basically on the same footing. But when I heard the s6, boy, there's a world of difference.

Im not sure what bright (bright=makalansing???) is, but i find the s6 warm. Maybe it was just paired with the right source and cable. So if S6 sounds like ikon 6, then siguradong magugustuhan ko ito and ikon 6.

Going back to aelite2/3, is this basically the same as evo3 but with more power? Kumbaga, mas buo ang tunog?

Hi Oloap,

We are not sure if we can you give you an objective view on this matter since audio is highly subjective.  Perhaps, the best way for us  to answer your query is simply to be honest :)

The aelites are indeed warm sounding speakers.  If set-up correctly, the will not offend.  Given two mid-basses, they go down lower than the Ikons.  If you like speakers that are warm sounding, then you might like the Aelites.

The Ikon's strengths are in dynamic and temporal contrast.  If you value these attributes, then the Ikons might be for you :)  Are these speakers bright as some have indicated.  Yes, it can be.  However, the Ikons can also sound full bodied and warm depending on the associated equipment.

But we still encourage you guys to visit the store and listen to them Ikons :)

Below are the specs of the Ikon 2:

 Frequency range+/- 3 dB [Hz] - 42-30kHz
 Sensitivity (2,83 V/1 m) [dB] - 88dB
 Nominal impedance - 8 Ohms
 Maximum SPL  - 108dB
Recommended amp. power - 30-120 Watts
 Crossover frequencies - 3kHz / 14kHz
Hybrid tweeter module - 17x45mm Ribbon and 28mm Soft textile dome
Low frequency driver - Wood fibre cone 1x6.5"
 Enclosure type  - Bass Reflex
 Connection input - Bi-wire
 Dimensions - 44 x 19 x 30cm (HxWxD)
 Weight - 9 Kgs
 Available Colour - Light Walnut

Best Regards,

Architectral Audio

If you want it warm with powerful bass try the X719 of Usher. Warm does not mean it has no detail.

AA,

On Bass Slam /power / dynamics wise how would the Evo 3 compare with the Concept 6 ?

Hi qguy,

Regarding bass slam / power / dynamics of Evo 3 vs Concept 6:   Evo 3 goes deeper, has more weight.  On the other hand, concept 6 is faster, tighter, and has more contrast.

Best Regards :)

Warm does not mean it has no detail.

From another perspective, detailed can be warm sounding :)

AA,

Thank you for your honest reply. At least from the opinions posted here regarding AE and Dali, im slowly getting to decide which speakers would be best for me. In any case, im sure i will not go wrong with either.

Can you please clarify what you mean by contrast? Im not sure I get it.
Thanks.

Hi Oolap,

Best pa rin talaga is listen to both speakers and decide.

Regarding contrast, it means may variation.  Yung tunog ng bass hindi iisa.  Hindi boom boom boom.  Kung hindi boom, blag, tug, boom.  Iba iba yung tono the bass :)

ArchiAudio,

do you happen to have the MA RS6? would like to shoot it out with the Dali Ikon 6. BTW, do you have the tentative price for the vokal(s)?

Also, would like to hear the difference between the concept and the ikon.

TIA

Hi Oloap,

Sorry, we do not have the RS6.

The CASH price for the vokal 2 is likely to be P20,100.

Please stop by the store so you can compare the Concepts and Ikons.

Thank you for considering Dalis :):):)
